I think he would have been a salary casualty in the GWF, plus there was a need for Switchblade to stay around(or Lorelei would lose her point) so I think that helped him to move over to CPC where he was already friends with Jack.

Scion Nexus has never really been one of the GWF standard bearers...and with his father leaving, it makes sense enough for me.
Most of the GWF who aren't Commando Sam no longer look at the CPC as the insurgents....just as another place they can wrestle...and Nexus joining JoD is just...cool.

Would someone like Scion Nexus 'really' go to CPC? Absolutely.
Scion at this stage in the GWF was a second tier performer who's upside in the promotion is behind him. His father (who gave him political stroke) is gone, & his team is undergoing a youth movement. In real life, he probably wouldn't have much market value in the GWF.
Contrast that with his potential in CPC. Like Raven & JOD before him, Scion has name recognition that makes him an instant attraction to the CPC fan base.
He has potential as the leader of a new generation of Titans. He has the potential to actually headline & be a real asset to the promotion with this new fresh start.
Although it's been done to death, I wouldn't mind seeing a Ravenesque/JOD style late veteran hits his prime upgrade. One final run where he fulfills his early potential would be fun to watch.
I'd add that's not something I would even have consider remotely attractive had he stayed in the GWF!

I dunno about "potential"...for me, Scion Nexus has been an overachiever since TitanAttack really took off with Ursa Major's 2109 upgrade. From 2110 on, Nexus did LOADS better than the handbooks placed him.
In 2116 (which I am just finishing) he held every strap and tore through people left and right to get there, while also dominating tag ranks with Eclipse, despite only being a part-time team.
But yeah, I would love to see Nexus get a JoD/Raven-esque upgrade to make him essentially step into Jack's role as the top face.

Yes, I think Scion would really leave. I think he and his father's idea of being a noble hero is on it's way out. Only Endgame now really adheres to those principles.
With his father finding himself dated, sort of feeling like Commando Sam, Scion would search for greener pastures. If he developed a friendship with Jack, and was shown jack was fighting the good, noble fight, I certainly do think he would leave.
Sort of like us working a job where the values at that place of employment have changed, only to find a friend doing similar work, using the values you firmly believe in. And if that friend offers you a job at his work place? Heck, I know I would take it..

I was getting paid good money, but the job started doing "shady" business. A few friends of mine was working at a job doing similar work but they were doing it with integrity. I could jump ship fast enough to go work with my firneds. I accepted less pay doing the ame work, but at a different place with friends with morals.

Moot point in my fed. Since I really didn't like the direction of 2119 (very heavy handed and not satisfying to me at all), I had a storyline where Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf bought out the GWF, and have since merged the federations into a new GWF filled with all of the talents from the two sets. And Scion Nexus is now being targeted as a potential "mole" who led to the buyout - could he have been a spy for the CPC? But ironically, in buying all of the rights to the GWF, Colby/Pelf made the tiny little mistake of letting the license and naming rights to the CPC expire. It was since picked up by Johnny Rocket, who has formed the rebuilt federation with the castoff talent from the GWF, CPC and AFW. Currently, Raven is challenging Mensar for the CPC title. Seriously, GWF 2119 really cheesed me off - I wasn't this disappointed since The Alpha Stone was declared a fake. Oh well, at least you can buy it on eBay!
