when i go to simulate the match it gives me errors. Will this not work for bootlegs? No, it won't work for bootlegs. In fact, the fact that you can see the link for a match that involves a bootleg wrestler is just an oversight on my part. I'll be sure to carve that out of there tomorrow. BDS EDIT: Fixed in 1.11

That is correct, even though the link is there to simulate a match, you cannot do so with bootleg characters. I tried it with my LWF guys and i must say, while I was holding out the slim chance it MIGHT work (even though I knew it wouldn't), the resulting error page was certainly pretty spectacular to look at. I really think it wouldn't be that big a deal for BDS to set up this to work.. you'd have to enter in rating, and some finishing moves, and you're good to go, (I think) You guys should deifnately suggest it in the suggestion thread. This isn't happening right now. Chalk this up as part of the larger discussion about bootlegs - we'll revisit it later after we get everything out and rolling and settled down.

I'm not sure that this is exactly the right place for this, but I'll try anyway. First I wanted to say that I'm greatly excited about COTGonline - it has allowed me hope that I'll be able to continue to play the game I've loved for 15 years but simply don't have the time for the cards anymore, etc, like many people here.
Now on to my question ... I'm no technology wizard, so perhaps this is simple (or has already been answered), but I created two feds right now - aCe and GWF - though I haven't set up any cards so far (waiting for the game table to be available). However, when I go to "set active federation" to switch between them, I often get this error:
Warning: mysql_result() [function.mysql-result]: Unable to jump to row 0 on MySQL result index 9 in /home/cotgonli/public_html/gamearea/stattracker/setfed.php on line 8
And I've reset the active dates to "1/1/2119 through 12/31/2119" many times, but after this error, it always appears on the top of the screen as "aCe -1 through " instead of the correct dates. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using IE 6 here at work and IE 7 at home and I get the same error.
BDS EDIT: Fixed in 1.11

First off, welcome to the boards!
Secondly, you found a bug that needs to go away, and I'll squish it shortly when I fix another bug from 1.10. This shouldn't be a problem for you for too much longer.
Finally, thanks for all of the kind words. I can speak for the rest of the team when I say that it's really, really cool for us that COTGonline is helping to bring the fun of this awesome game back to people who might not have had the time for it anymore.

No, thank YOU guys. I still love this game and I think the whole online thing just allows for easier accessibility now that my life has become more complicated (as it should - I started playing when I was 13). I often think fondly of the golden age of the GWF, and as this online thing continues, I look forward to playing all those years again and having nice, organized records for all of it

I'm playing out my first aCe card and there doesn't seem to be a Simulate This Match link for my Tag Team matches. I'm seeing now that tag team names aren't listed in the simulator. Will this be doable in the future?

Grant - You can definately simulate tag matches... theres a 'tag modifier' check box to use to give the official teams a leg up.. As to the tie in to the results, I'm guessing this is one of those things BDS just sorta missed, and he'll add it shortly

I'm playing out my first aCe card and there doesn't seem to be a Simulate This Match link for my Tag Team matches. * If you have a singles match booked with two, three, or four competitors, you can simulate that match instead of entering the results yourself. Go to where you would enter falls for the matches, click the simulate link, and follow the prompts. It's pretty straigihtforward. This was the test run for the linking into the simulator. It's significantly more work to make this work for tag matches, so I wanted to make sure this was a feature that people thought was valuable before I put that extra time into it. People clearly like it, so I'll go ahead with the extra steps to get it to work for any other match type the simulator can handle. Expect it a forthcoming update, but probably not until after the Game Table launches. I'm seeing now that tag team names aren't listed in the simulator. Will this be doable in the future? You're probably never going to get the team names in the simulator. As Wildfire said, though, just pick Exodus and Gabriel then click the "tag bonus" option for their side, and it's the same thing.
