COTGonline Suggestions (was: A couple ideas...)

1) I think this has been mentioned, but I'd like to see you be able to note that a match wasn't a clean finish... hopefully this would influence some (but not all) of the rankers

2) I would REALLY REALLY like a link to 'add another match' and/or 'enter results for this match' after you add a match/ enter results... I think it would speed things up alot.

3) Match order should assume you are entering the matches in the order you want them to appear (i.e. the default should be 1 for the 1st match, 2 for the 2nd, etc) I suspect the fact that it always defaults to 1 is the source of the issues people are having with it.

It would be sweet if we could enter injuries, and have the 'Tracker keep track.

I can work in countout finishes the same way that dq finishes are implemented. Don't think that we need any extra buttons for it.

It's already on the list. For today's update, in fact.

If you leave the match order at 1, it's going to order them based on the order that you put them in. The effort required to reorder them like that would be colossal for what is essentially a minimal gain.

Sell me on this one. I'm not sure I see the benefit of it. If it's useful and people want it, I'll put it in, but you've got to convince me that it's cool, first.

Okay...here is my sell on it:

You already have the option in the match simulation asking if one of the participants is "injured" so why not have it track them as well over the career of the wrestler. It would add more depth to the life of the wrestler than just his win/loss record.

The way I look at it, Stat Tracker is replacing my notebook, right? I put injuries in my notebook, so they should be in Stat Tracker

Seriously, assuming that we're going to use the 'Tracker to help with booking, it should be there... Ideally, there would be, as Eliath said, a note on the history, so you could see how the guy did while injured.

Maybe a different color in the ranking when a guy is hurt, so you can see it at a glance, and decide wether to use him or not?

Quick question on the DQ thing... do you have to stop at "DQ" or "disqualification".. I listed a result for one of my matches as "DQ after ROC stormed the ring" or some such... will that pick up, or should it just say "DQ"

I just experimented with those exact words and it worked...so BDS must have it brilliantly coded to read DQ (disqualification) as the first word and it doesn't matter what you type after that.

It acutally just looks for the word somewhere in the string. So "an attack from Zombie Nation that caused a DQ" would work just fine, too. If y'all want it to be more precise than that, let me know, and we'll tweak it.

Things I thought of while entering a card today:

- The 'Add another match' link is great, definately saved a TON of time... I'd like a 'return to card management' link on the bottom when adding match results.. it appears when you edit, but not when adding results.

-- I feel like I asked this before, and I don't remember the answer... how about a like on the 'view stats' page for each title history.

-- I remember at some point we discussed having a 'composite' type view of everyone's public results.. is that still in the works?

Double check and make sure the 'sides' are correct.. if you didn't change it, it will list the 1st four wrestlers/teams as four different teams... I'm guessing that's what you did.
