All I need to know before I think about buying COTG Online is one thing...What are the system requirements to run the program? Will it be compatible with Windows ME, or do I need to buy a whole new computer (which I'm saving money for, anyway) with Windows 2000 or higher in order to run it?

it's browser-based, Dave.

Yeah, so unless you're running some antiquated version of IE, I imagine it'll be just fine.

Crap does it only use IE? I dumped that long ago and use Firefox.

You're fine with Firefox

Good man -- Firefox is vastly superior.
I use Safari at home on the Mac and Firefox here at work.

As the offically unofficial tester of Cotg on crappy computers, I can tell you that if you have a 'current' brower, you'll be fine.
It does NOT work with any browser from Mac System 9 (at least any I could find)
Things got a little funky when I used my 'puter with Win '95 (I think 3 versions of IE back) but it still worked, so as long as you computer is from, say 2000 or newer, you'll be fine.

As long as you don't have a Commodor 64 you're fine.

As long as you don't have a Commodor 64 you're fine. THATS FUNNY! a new band called DATAROCK have a song called Computer Camp Love and in that song they say Commodor 64 which I had growing up like all my friends, anyway...

It does NOT work with any browser from Mac System 9 (at least any I could find) Serves you right! Odds are, I won't code to support anything that Microsoft themselves doesn't even support anymore. Now, coding for the newest version of IE will probably still make things work, but I won't test for anything older than IE 6 & 7. Also, when the Game Table is released, there's a possibility that you're going to have to use IE to actually play. Firefox isn't working and playing well with the code right now. Now, there's still a month or so until the game table is released, so that could change, but I wanted to give y'all a heads up.

Hey, you can't blame a guy for wanting to be able to play at work, can ya? Shh, don't tell anyone. *pops head up from cubicle, checks for passersby, then plops back down for more COTGOnline-goodness*

Which, BTW, Stat Tracker works fine in =)

I'm using Linux and Firefox. Likewise! Ubuntu FTW! As it stands right now, it's the multi-player component of the Game Table that doesn't work. Single Player in the Game Table works just fine in Firefox, but the MP stuff isn't quite working yet. We know about it, though, and James is going to try to make it work before launch. I'll keep you posted as I know more.

FWIW, the 'Tracker does indeed work on my System 9 Mac at work.. I'm about 100% certain the Game table won't though but its nice the 'Tracker does.
