Had some time and was bored so I pulled this together. Not comprehensive but hopefully it helps out.
EDIT: Added some additional questions and answers. 2007-06-03
1) What is CotG Online?
CotG Online is a port of the table top dice and paper game that we all love divided into different areas. The Stat Tracker, The Game Table, and a Similator
1A) What is The Stat Tracker?
The Stat Tracker is an application within CotG Online that will keep track of win-loss records, and things of that nature.
1B) What is The Game Table?
The Game Area is where you will play out your matches as if you were rolling on your own desk or table top. One additional feature of this application is it will allow for you to play against a friend over the internet.
1c) What is the Similator?
The similator is exactly what it says. A simulator. It will allow you to quickly run through a set of matches to catchup to "current" or just to play around with matches.
2) When will CotG Online go live?
Lauches at 7 PM EST on May 27th 2007.
2a) What is included in Launch?
Check out CotGOnline.com to see all of what is included with the Launch Package.
2b) What is not included in Lauch?
The Game Area will not be available upon launch and only the aCe sets will be available at launch.
3) When will the other sets be available?
New Beginnings is intended to be made available sometime around Galacticon. It is assumed that the Orginal set will be released sometime after that. CPC is likely to follow suit.
4) Can I still order the cards?
Yes and no. You can order the cards for GWF, but aCe will strictly be through CotGOnline. You can however print the cards from a downloadable PDF made available for NEW SETS. The Original aCe sets (2119, 2120) must be purchased from the store to have the hard copy.
5) Why will aCe no longer be made available through mail order?
aCe was not making enough money to justify the printing costs of the cards. It was a choice Tom and Kris made to continue the set online.
6) How much does it cost?
Launch Package is 29 dollars and includes all aCe cards including special editions.
6a) What payment methods are acceptable?
Any method currently supported by the online store.
7) Is there a subscription fee?
Yes. It is yet to be announed and there will be options available. For example, you may only want the Stat Tracker or only The Game Area.
8) That sucks! Aren't I just renting my cards then?
It depends on your point of view. Since you can download a PDF of the new sets, you will always have that available to you if you save it to your local hard drive.
9) Is it playable offline?
No. You need an internet connection to play CotGOnline. In the Future there may be a release of a desktop edition of CotG Online but nothing is known to be planned at this stage.
10) What do I need to play?
An internet connection and a browser that supports Shockwave Flash and Java Virtual Machine.
11) Will we be able to mix and match characters from different feds and eras(using GWF characters in ACE or not retiring someone who retires 'in continuity') or will we be restricted to the current 'active roster' for each fed?
yes. You'll have the ability to create 'custom rosters'
12) Can I use Bootlegs?
You can enter bootlegs into the Stat Tracker. The Game Table is TBD
13) Will there be Game Rooms and Chat for playing against other people?
Yes
14) How Many People can play in the Game Table?
Solo or Two
15) What is the turnaround to get my Key once I have ordered CotG Online?
Roughly 48 hours
15a) Why can't I access it as soon as I order?
Activation is a manual process at the moment. As soon as Osk get's the order confirmations he turns them around as soon as he can.
16) How do rankings work?
Depending on the personalities selected for your "Championship Committee", Each personality will assign points to each wrestler/team involved in a match. Some consider countout/DQ to be a detriment, while others may not care with a mindset of a win is a win.
