Gifts and a Contest

Well, way back when, we expected this news to drop around the holidays. Larry (BDS) and I had talked about how fun it would be to give out our new bad-a$$ looking avatars to our friends on the boards. "Everyone should be sporting their own unique character," I would say, and so on and so on.
Reality check.
Hundreds of potential requests...maybe more once we got this thing rolling? Larry just wouldn't have the time...none of us would if we were trying to get COTGonline, aCe, and everything else out on time.
...PLUS when you all eventually get the sets you can just make your own avatars.
Anyhow, please trust when I tell you guys I'd love to give the "gift" of a sweet colored avatar of a favorite character out to EVERYONE.
It just ain't realistic.
Well the time to reveal COTGonline has come and it's a bit past the holidays but Larry and I and the rest of the COTGonline staff would still like to give out at least a FEW gifts right off the bat.
First to the rest of the Staff of Champions of the Galaxy...Tom, Mark, and Todd. Great job guys! Keep rolling in 2007!
And to those guys who are keeping the Alternative Universe alive...Rob, Werner, Mike Melesky, and Jeff G.
All you guys keep doing what you're doing! COTGonline looks to improve this already solid foundation and create fan growth on the digital AND paper side.
If you guys would let myself or Larry know which characters you'd like for your avatar, we'll have them ready for you as soon as possible.
There is ONE exception...Larry's wife Holli. He claims, and I quote, "that if it wasn't for her patience, I wouldn't be allowed to work on it at all." Now believe me people, without BDS this stuff would have never, ever come out looking as good as it does. So I'm all for Holli getting one. Plus, she's easily the most active female in the COTG online community...and a huge Avarice fan. You know The Blackheart can never get enough press on my watch.
Now that does NOT MEAN that anyone else who wants an avatar BEFORE COTGonline officially launches can't have their chance to get one.
We WILL be holding a random drawing in the upcoming week. 5 winners will also be given NOT ONLY their choice of character on colored avatar, but a huge color COTGonline banner featuring that character as well! It'll look like what I've got going on right now except with your choice of character from the current colored editions!
