They cut to the back where Maxine Babe is standing by with Y2K. Y2K tells the fans that tonight Varsity once again is going to face a Y2K Problem just as he has done many times in the past...>
The Annihilators took on Galaxy's Most Wanted in the opening match giving them all kinds of headaches with their vast offensive arsenal. Ricochet causes the disqualification for his team when he posted Angus Kaine outside the ring.
<Lenny Lightstar and Mayhem talk about IWL Universal Champion Austin Storm and show a video clip of him winning the Universal Title in the tournament finals against Kurt Anderson...Stroker Ace comes out and says that he is the man with all "The Stroke" in IWL and he doesnt care who he has to go through but he will be getting a title shot come Freezing Point! "One of a Kind" begins playing and Austin Storm makes his way to the ramp, and says that if Ace wants it, he'll have to work his way up like everyone else to get it at Freezing Point.>
Super Leatherface and Tom Stone had a brutal battle which saw the "Six Sides of Steel" activated, it was here the match turned into a bloodbath. After several brutal moments Super Leatherface gets the duke when he pins Stone after CHAINSAW MASSACRE!
<Maxine Babe interviews Phenom who says that Stroker Ace thinks he is in line for a shot, but he'll have to go through him first...Stroker Ace walks up and begins insulting Phenom , Phenom decks him, but security breaks it off quickly and take Ace away.>
Raza and Icon squared off in what shouldve been a battle between two submission mastersm but Icon had other things in mind and took Raza outside the ring and nailed him with a steel chair....the referee gave warning, but Icon simply flipped the ref off and nailed Raza twice more..the referee disqualified Icon.
<A bloody Raza grabs a mic and says that he wants a rematch with Icon with no p**** disqualifications...from the entrance ramp Icon says that he accepts the challenge and looks forward to breaking Raza>
<cut to the dressing room where Maxine Babe catches up with Varsity who's warming up for his match with Y2K. Varsity says that if Y2K thinks he is gonna make him tap out tonight then Y2K is "wrong, DAMN wrong." Varsity states that tonight Y2K just may be taking a medical leave.>
In a quick match, Y2K defeated Varsity after Varsity used the TRICK KNEE twice in open view of the referee. Varsity then locked on the ANKLE LOCK and refused to release the hold...X-Nailz stormed the ring and leveled Varsity with a clothesline! X-Nailz then gave Varsity three straight NAIL DRIVERs on a chair! Varsity is injured 5 cards!
<panoramic view of the outside arena show as Lightstar/Mayhem plug sponsors like Brymstonian Brew (It'll blow you up!") and Tex Remington's Dorado Chili (It's so good, you'll chairshot your momma). They cut to backstage where Varsity is being tended to my medical staff for a possible neck trauma and severe bleeding from his forehead.>
Epic dominated his match with Prototype who just couldnt seem to get anything going. Epic kept leveling the popular star with several running spears and finally got the win after a Tenchi Backbreaker.
X DIVISION TITLE - Misuta Ikazuchi successfully defended the belt in a great match against "Daredevil" Dale Bench. Dale put up one hell of a fight but Ikazuchi would shine tonight and get the win with the THUNDER FIRE SPLASH. After the match "Flawless" Kelly Dunn came out and he and Ikazuchi both worked Bench's leg over injuring him 5 cards.
Stroker Ace beat Phenom in an great match...At the end of the bout Phenom had Ace right where he wanted him, but Ace managed to grab his guitar and nail Phenom with it...Ace then locked on the FIGURE FOUR and get the win being Phenom was out cold...
<In the back Maxine Babe stops Misuta Ikazuchi and Kelly Dunn and asks them why they assualted Dale Bench. Ikazuchi just gestured wildly as Dunn stated that Bench made a huge mistake when he turned down a spot in the League of Excellence and has thus put a bullseye on his back, Dunn then predicted that his LoE partners The Ultimates and Kurt Anderson would be adding the rest of the IWL gold to the LoE.>
IWL UNIVERSAL TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Maximum Impact (Michael Free & Reno Fox) successfully defend the tag straps against The Ultimates (Jack Blades & Anthony Griffen) in an excellent tag match. Both teams spent a good amount of time on offense, but in the end Reno Fox would get the win for his team when he pinned Jack Blades after the 3-Peat Party Plex.
UNIVERSAL TITLE MATCH - Austin "Thunder" Storm successfully defended his Universal Title against "Nature Boy" Kurt Anderson in a thrilling contest. Anderson came close to taking the gold a couple of times during the bout, but Storm managed to keep on fighting through...Kelly Dunn and Anthony Griffen tried to interfere on Anderson's behalf but Storm fought them both off and hit the THUNDERBOLT on Anderson for the win.
<As the IMPACT! Zone went off the air Stroker Ace stood on the entrance ramp gesturing with his hands around his waist and pointing to Storm's title, Storm motioned for Stroker Ace to come down to the ring, but Ace wasn't having it.>
