I would really like to see CPC make some plays here. I want to see the CPC become an equal to that of GWF, sign some guys the GWF has to let go. Id really like to see each fed have the same amount of guys and an almost even playing field, that even will have some promoters going hey, this is pretty friggin even now ...

I have had a problem with CPC signing GWF guys. While its great that mid to low carders get to the CPC and have time to shine (ie. Brainstorm, Molotok, Raven and Blizzard), I want to see the CPC have its own identity. Think of the CPC and GWF like the WWF and WCW. The WCW (GWF) took some of the WWF's (CPC) stars and they are shinning in the WCW (GWF) (ie, Troubleshooters and Phantasy). Then the WWF (CPC) takes some of the WCW's (GWF) lower tiered wrestlers and makes them stars (ie Steve Austin, HHH, and Undertaker compared to Brainstorm, Raven and Colossus). This may be alittle confusing. All I am stating is if the CPC are going to sign some of the GWF guys, I hope they are mid carders that never got a fair shot at being superstars.

totally agree.they should get guys and make them stars.but to expect the two feds to be equal is not realistic.like the wwe and wcw,one will always be better than the other.each fed will fall into a slump and not be so popular.maybe the cpc will surpass the gwf!!??could we see a feud between tom and mark?now that would be interesting.

I've also posted on this topic in the "Invasion Time" thread, but I'll reiterate here. I think the best way for me to build the CPC into a league that competes with the GWF is to use my own creations. Guys like Shylock, Puma, Darwin's Legacy (even though Nero is an updated Karah, he's a totally different character, in my eyes) and the forthcoming Rubicon will be among those who carry the league in the next several years. To just grab people from the GWF -- many of whom are on the downside of their careers -- just isn't the right move to make if there's to be any longevity in the feuds that are set up, or to establish my creations as the main people. I've had to work to get to that point, and I think within the next few sets, most of the top folks in the league will be characters from 2112 and beyond.
I've got my eye on someone over there, though...

Well I dont want you to grab guys that suck Mark, and I understand your point ... but Id like to see the CPC get some more credit. Maybe even some mention of CPC beating GWF in the Holovision rankings or something.

I don't think that the CPC could beat the GWF in Holovision ratings, just because of how long-standing the GWF tradition is. I'm sure they're competitive, but the GWF is probably still the #1 fed for most (in fantasy and reality), and I realize that. Still, we're the scrappy underdog alternative, more like ECW than WCW, if you know what I mean.

Which I think is good. I always preferred SMW, USWA and ECW(in the early years) over WCW.
