LPW tv taping week 7
in Des Moines Iowa at the Iowa Events Center
The show opened with The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering coming out in street clothes to the middle of the ring. Animal took the microphone as the crowd booed them.
"Boo all you like I don't care! We just came out here to tell all of you that we are done!"
The crowd quieted down at that announcement.
"Thought that would get your attention. Hawk and I have achieved everything we set our minds to. We got every tag belt there was. We are bored and don't have the fire to do this anymore, and you fans knew it and that is why your booing us. We have talked to the promoter and we have explained the situation and he has let us go. As of this morning Hawk and I have offically split up and are going to go our seperate ways."
Hawk and came and took the microphone from Animal
"I just want to say thank you to all the fans that have supported us over the years and to Animal your are the best partner a guy could have and to Paul its been aslice of greatness. Good bye."
In stunned silence The Road warriors and Paul Ellering left the ring and the crowd began to chant "Don't Leave Roadies" as they reached the locker room.
In a number one contender tag-team match the Dream team beat the Killer Bees
Chris Candido beat Mil mascaras by count out after he piledrived him outside the ring while Tammy kept the ref busy
Dick Hutton beat the Missing Link and then after the match delivered tow back breakers outside the ring to the mising Link and then was run off by Nick Bockwinkle
George Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch beat the team of Danny Hodge and Rikidozan when George kneed Rikidozan to the head when he was going for a back body drop and knocked him cold and then went for his finisher and the ref called for the bell.
Iron Shiek pinned Stan Lane but after the match Bobby Eaton attacked the shiek from behind and put him in the middle of the ring then climbed the top turnbuckle and delivered a veggie-o-matic before Nikolai Volkoff came running out to break it up and start their match
Bobby Eaton fought from behind to get the victory over Nikolai Volkoff, who dominated most of the match.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan/ted DiBaise beat the team of Red Bastein/Billy Lyons
In the LPW non-title Television championship match Nick Bockwinkle pinned the champion Masked Superstar despite Bobby Heenan's interference
In the LPW Cruiserweight championship title match it looked like Sabu was going to win the title until he missed the Triple Jump moonsult. Antonnio Rocca took over and then tossed Sabu out of the ring and went out to get him and Sabu bodyslammed Rocca on the concrete floor right infront of the ref and the ref called for the bell DQing Sabu. Sabu went after the ref, who got out of the ring and gave the belt to Rocca.
