LPW week 8
in Peoria, IL at the Civic Center
Chris Candido pinned Mil mascaras
Bobby Eaton pinned Iron Shiek
The Team of Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Ted DiBiase beat The Killer Bees even after the bees tried to pull a switch on Duggan.
Stan lane fought from behind and surprised Nikolai Volkoff with a superkick to get the one two three
Goerge Hackenschmidt had a hard fought battle against Rikidozan. It went back and forth and then Rikidozan made two costly mistakes and hackenschmidt pinned him
Justin Credible and Buff Bagwell managed by Sheri martel beat the team of Red Bastein and Billy Lyons
I, the promoter was sitting in my office setting up Wrestle Bowl 2 for next week when Iron Shiek and Nikolai Volkoff barged into my office.
"We demand satisfaction against the Midnight Express! They are thorns in our sides and Cornetteis a pain in the ...."
"Stop right there Shiek. Tell you what I am going to do. Next week at Wrestler Bowl You guys vs the Midnight Express ina no DQ/count out match...."
"Yes that is what I am talking about! We will kill them american idiots!"
"Nikolai I wasn't finished. The match will be two out of three falls and the loser of the match, not the whole team, just the peson who gets pinned leaves the LPW for twelve weeks."
"I like it! The Midnight Express are going to be gone....what is it Nikolai."
Nikolai whispered something in Shieks ear.
"Lets go!" Shiek said and then they left.
I wondered what that was about but then I got back to work.
In the LPW Cruiserweight Championship non title match Sabu was really doing a number on Antonnio Rocca, using air and ground attack. Rocca never knew where Sabu was coming from or what was coming to hit him next. It looked like Sabu was going to beat the champ when he went to the top rope to finish the champ off, when the Ref called for the bell and dqed Sabu for not listening to him to get off the ropes. Sabu was livid and tried to go after the ref, who escaped barely with Rocca
In the LPW Heavyweight championship non title match the challenger Antonio Inoki gave Buddy Rogers everything he could handle and then some. They put on a hold reversial clinic for ten minutres that kept the fans in awe of both men. Rogers then brought out his bag of tricks and rammed inoki into the ringside pole twice. Inoki fought back from that and Rogers played possum and Inoki went to the top rope and tried a falling knee smash and Rogers moved. Rogers then put on his finisher and Inoki passed out from the pain and Rogers won.
In the LPW Television Championship Title match Nick Bockwinkle was jawing with Heenan and not paying attention to Masked Superstar and was attacked before the bell. Superstar caught Bockwinkle with a devasting Superstar clothesline and then pinned him using the ropes as extra leverage
IN the LPW tag-team championship title match between the Dream Team and Johnny Valentine and Killer Kowalski. The fans were interested in seeing father and Son fighting. The match started off slow and Beefcake grounded Kowalski and nearly had him pinned afew times but albano interfered. Greg Valentine came in and then Kowalski made a tag and father and son fought for five minutes and then Greg got the upper hand on his father and tagged Beefcake in who through Johnny out of the ring and when out to continue the fight. Johnny blocked the punch that Beefcake threw and then bodyslammed him on the concrete floor right infront of the ref, who called for the bell and DQed Johnny Valentine/ Killer Kowalski. The belts stay with the champs. Greg stared at his father as his dad left the ring holding the belts high and proud.
That is all for this week fans. Come back next week when Wrestle Bowl2 comes to PPv.
