Right off the bat was shocking news, Nick Bockwinkle withdrew himself from the Heavyweight Championship tournament and when Bobby Heenan found out Nick told him he wanted to be on his own and not be in the Heenan family.
The Tag-team tournament had the Road warriors win the belts over the Dream Team and Iron Shiek and Nikolai Volkoff.
For the Heavyweight tournament Buddy Rogers went through the Sandman, Antionnio Rocca and finally the Antionio Inoki to win the strap.
The television championship tournament Sabu lasted through the challenges of Frank gotch,Chris Candidio and to claim the belt he won over George hackenschmidt.
And then the final tournament for the 6 man tag championship in the first round Bruiser Brody,King Kong Bundy and Don Leo Jonathan defeated Bobo Brazil, Koko B. Ware,andS.D. Jones. The team ofKiller Kowalski,Johnny Valentine, and The Destroyer beat the team of Ted DiBaise, hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Ox Baker. In the end though Killer Kowalski, Johnny Valentine and The Destroyer won over the team of Brody, Bundy and Johnathan to win the straps. Lou Albano was very happy as the crowd was filled with mixed reaction.
All the champions were asked to come out for the fans and it was an awesome site. The Road Warriors dressed in Leather and Spikes and looking very intimadating, Buddy Rogers looking very smug wearing the belt, Sabu on his knees with the tv belt infront of him and him pointing to the heavens, and Albanos 6 man champions looking very evil.
