I don't have the EC set but have the sets of 2074,2079 2084. So i would like to use these guys like Dorado Sundown but when i think about it i would like to start into 2087 becasue i would like to get to 2088 soon. I'm looking forward to using The Bishop and Spike. Should i use the EC guys and combine them to start 2087? Has anyone did this? Only problem is a lot of thsoe guys appear in 2087 and would be a conflict

You can read the EC review by author Mike M here. Make no mistake...2087 is a great edition as are the sets that follow. Yet the reality is that you already own much of what it takes to build from the 'very start'...and that's a value you may want to seriously consider exploring.

There certainly is something to be said for starting from 2074 with the EC set. I'm in mid-2076 right now and enjoying seeing how these early years play out myself.

I'm about to finish 2113 in my GWF fed and I originally started with Early Classics. As others have said, doing EC chronologically really helps to build a great history for your personal fed- and you can still conctruct a good history for this period while playing a smaller number of cards per year if you are in a hurry to get to 2087 as your post indicated.

Thanks. Maybe doing a monthly card for a few years with the EC cards may be a nice way to start.

Even if you don't go all the way back, getting Classics 2086 and starting there would be cool go into the original set.

That's really the "best" way to do it, IMO. Hope you enjoy EC, because from 2074-2080 I did and very shortly I'll start playing it again to get to 2087.
