My friend and I were playing two nights ago and an age old debate was resparked concerning wrestlers escaping in the Aethran Ultimate Escape Match. Simply enough here are the two major points of discussion: if wrestler A pins wrestler X then does it have to be wrestler A that escapes the cage? Or can his pinning X allow one of his partners, B and C, hopefully the worst off of the three, to escape instead. If you consider how it might go in a real match, two partners could keep the opposing team at bay while an injured comrade escapes the cage. I leave it to the mob to consider. What do you think?

As it is a tag match, you can only escape the cage if you are the legal man; therefore, the wrestler who scores the pin makes the escape.

House rule, I allow anyone to escape helping get the weaker guys out as you said. I see it as the legal man hits his finisher or whatever and then tags his partner who escapes. It's up to you promoter it's your fed.

i've always played them as Matt said...but i could see how LotW and Butcher's rules could really make a match something special...

I don't use escapes from the cage...just pins and submissions.
