How do you resolve your feuds?

By feuds, I generally don't mean the storyline feuds that Tom has in the storyline. I'm talking about those random feuds that pop up every now and then such as Wolf fights fights Mutant, Mutant gets DQ'd for hitting Wolf with a chair, beginning a feud.
I generally have two ways of going about it, the simple version and calculated version.
Simple:
First to have a clean victory wins the match. If there has been three matches without a clean victory, a special match is made to settle the feud
Calculated:
Not including the original match that started the feud (Mutant gets DQ'd for hitting Wolf with a chair), each wrestler has to get to 4 points). You get two points for a clean victory and 1 point for a DQ/countout victory, but the only way to win the feud is to win cleanly. So, you could be winning the feud 4-1, but because you won your last match via DQ, the feud continues. This could mean that your opponent can storm back and win 5-4, so watch out!) Also, if the total amount of feud points is 4+ and there isn't a victor, each match is a special match.
So, let's take a look at this in two different ways:
Example #1 (Standard Feud):
Feud Starter: Wolf wins by DQ over Mutant (feud starts)
Match #1: Mutant pins Wolf (Mutant up 2-0)
Match #2: Wolf beats Mutant (Tied 2-2)
Match #3: Wolf beats Mutant in a cage (Wolf wins feud 4-2)
Example #2 (Extended Feud):
Feud starter: Wolf wins by DQ over Mutant (feud starts)
Match #1: Mutant pins Wolf (Mutant up 2-0)
Match #2: Mutant beats Wolf by countout (Mutant up 3-0)
Match #3: Mutant beats Wolf by DQ (Mutant up 4-0, but does not win feud because of DQ finish)
Match #4: Wolf beats Mutant in a Cage(Mutant up 4-2)
Match #5: Wolf beats Mutant in a Titan Death match (Feud tied 4-4)
Match #6: Wolf beats Mutant in a Torture Chamber match (Wolf wins feud 6-4)
