As some of you may or may not remember, know, or care about, I'm a long time fan whose cards went missing during a move. So, I've been recollecting the cards and relearning the storyline (currently up to 2100). Anyhoo, so I decided to relive the good ol' days and started out my fed at 2087 rather then going to New Beginnings... I'm still keeping myself current since New Beginnings (up to Subversion 2122), but I don't really play that too much except with friends.
So, I crowned champs with Thantos taking the Universal title, Comrade Terror taking the I-P, and the Gladiators taking the tag belts...
Thantos has been dominant defeating Commander Sam in a feud, beating Lord Nexus, losing the title to Wolf before getting it back the next week and beatin him in the rematch.
Comrade Terror lost the I-P title to Star Warrior. Star Warrior traded the title back and forth with Krakan before finally winning the feud. He destroyed Comrade Terror who wanted his I-P title back and then defeated Exo-King to keep the title.
Over in the tag division, the Gladiators fought a brutal DQ filled feud with the Space Croppers but eventually defeated them. They then faced the Greek Gods and have been trading titles back and forth with them on every card for the past 5 cards or so.
Best feuds so far: Wolf vs. Krakan. Thantos has been using the Society of Death to keep Wolf injured. The routine was to keep Wolf busy with Mutant and then have Krakan run down, attack Wolf, and then retreat. The plan worked for a while. Even though Thantos lost his title to Wolf, the injuries to Wolf proved too much for him during the rematch and Thantos easily took back the crown and won the following rematch. Just recently, Wolf at about 90% health defeated Krakan in a brutal match, but I don't think it's over yet.
The other big feud has been the Gladiators vs Greek Gods. They've fought in normal matches, cage matches, Aethran Ultimate Escape matches, Zero Gravity matches... it just won't end! Next card is going to be a torture chamber elimination match to finally end the feud.
Biggest surprise: Mutant! While I can't say that Mutant has been dominant, he's been surprisingly good, beating almost every non-champion wrestler, including Wolf. I don't remember him ever being this good back when I last played 2087 15 years ago or so!
