Ben Roller interviewed Harley Race the WCCW World Heavyweight Champion about a possible title versus title showdown with either Kowalski or Road Warrior Hawk. He declined the showdown, but then both Kowalski and Hawk added their two cents about the possible title versus title. Race still declines the offer, but he then counter-offers a three way non-title match...
WCCW Officials like the idea, but in a suprise move they sign two title matches for the Super Sunday card. Bobo Brazil will face in a rematch for the Television title against Kowalski and Hawk will defend his American title against Bockwinkle. WCCW Officials state that all parties involved will face off in a three way match with the winners of the two title matches going up against Race in a three way non-title match.
Buddy Rogers, Iron Sheik and Jimmy Valiant will face off in the first three way match in WCCW history and the winner will face Race for the World Heavyweight title at the Cotton Bowl Extravaganza at the end of the month.
Bobo Brazil, Johnny Valiant and Greg Valentine will face off in a three way match, the winner will secure a tag team title match at the Cotton Bowl Extravaganza.
The Sandman and Ox Baker join forces to take on Frank Gotch and Red Bastien in the tag team ranks.
