From the desk of Heartland Commissioner Alexandra York:
NWA Heartland returns to its roots tomorrow night, as the Ervin J. Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio, plays host to Heartland Havoc IV! Heartland Wrestling is proud to present six exciting matches!
Qualifying Match for National Heavyweight Championship
Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. Delirious
The Macho Man has returned to form and is looking for a shot at National Heavyweight Champion "Bad News" Allen Coage!
Macho got the best of Jake Roberts, but only with the assistance of his new associate, Marcus "Big Time" Bagwell. Will Bagwell be on hand for this important contest? Can Miss Elizabeth make these two egos work together effectively?
But in his path stands the bizarre newcomer, Delirious. This crazy phenom has taken the Heartland by storm with victories over Rick Rude and Bradshaw. Is there a method to the madness? Or is Delirious simply too crazy to care?
Heartland Midwest Heavyweight Championship
Chris Sabin (Challenger) vs. Christopher Daniels (Champion)
These two cruiserweights look to tear up the Gem City. Sabin has been on a roll, but the champion Daniels has been dominating the Midwest belt and looks to keep the title firmly strapped around his waist.
Tag Team Grudge Match
Petey Williams & Rick Rude vs. Sting & Shawn Michaels
It all started with Bret Hart pulling a fast one on Sting! The Hitman pinned the Stinger with a pull of the tights, raising the ire of the Stinger who demanded a rematch. When Sting's partner Michaels got involved, Petey Williams interjected himself on behalf of his Canadian hero, the Hitman. Williams attacked Michaels before a match against Rude, and the Ravishing One was more than happy to join in on the beatdown.
Since winning the Heartland Heavyweight Championship, the cunning Hitman has been content to sit back and let Rude and Williams take care of his dirtywork. Tomorrow night will be Michaels' first match since the injury inflicted by Petey, and he is looking for some revenge against the men who put him on the shelf!
First Blood Match
Samoa Joe vs. Batista
Joe has been on the warpath since he was blindsided by Batista during an episode of The Front Page. Joe got a small measure of revenge by interrupting Batista's attack on the Irish Airborne, leading to a steel cage match last Monday night in Nashville. Despite fighting on a severely injured ankle, Batista used the cage to his advantage and defeated Joe after ripping his face open. The fight continued, and Joe vowed to exact his revenge in a First Blood match at Havoc IV!
Heartland Heavyweight Championship
Scotty Steiner (Challenger) vs. Bret Hart (Champion)
The Hitman has reached the pinnacle! After a long and tumultuous climb, Hitman overcame the likes of Sting and Batista to get his shot at Steiner, and was able to come away with the gold in a beautifully wrestled match on both sides. Scotty gets his rematch in Dayton tomorrow night, hungry to regain his belt.
NWA World Tag Team Championship
Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko (Champions) vs. Big John Studd & Jake "The Snake" Roberts (Challengers)
Malenko and Benoit have visited the Heartland twice as champions, and both times have put aside the challenge of the Steiner Brothers. After Monday night's victory, the champions were accosted by Snake and Studd, behind the wiles of their manager, Woman. Benoit and Woman had a little domestic squabble, as Benoit initially refused to face his wife's team, but it was Malenko who declared that the champs would not back down from ANY challenge, and the match was signed!
We hope you will join us for tomorrow night's pay-per-view from the sold-out Nutter Center!
