Hey Everybody,
I don't post my results on the board because it would simply take me too long to do. However, I always post my annual Revolution PPV results, but I like to give a preview of the card as well.
I'll give the match and a brief background of how it came to be. Feel free to make your predictions on who will win!
2 OUT OF 3 FALLS MATCH
Wind Riders & Cosmos vs. CrossCurrents & Mimic
Last year, at Revolution III, the Wind Riders beat the CrossCurrents in a Tornado Tag Team Match that stole the show while Mimic bet Cosmos in a battle of GWF rookies. Although Cosmos is a heel, he accepted Tano and Rama’s offer to team up with them in order to avenge his loss to the mute from last year. Morpheus is not happy with his protégé’s decision.
CASTOR CHAIN MATCH
K.O. Keller vs. Santon
These two have battled on and off since the inception of the GWF 4 years ago. This latest chapter began about a month ago when the boxer saved his buddy Moonstrike from a backstage beatdown being delivered by the masked man along with Jammer.
Later that night, Santon beat Moonstrike in a Cosmic Cage Match, only to continue his assault on the fan favorite after the bell. The masked man tossed his prey out to the floor, then took the chain used to secure the cage door, wrapped it around Moonstrike’s throat and started to choke the life out of him! Keller ran down for the save only to get clocked with the chain by Santon. The masked man beat on his old enemy with the weapon before choking Keller out cold with it.
Due to this horrendous attack, Commissioner Melesky has signed the GWF’s first-ever Castor Chain Match!
GALAXIAN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Rock Solid© vs. Mensans
When Screw turned heel and joined forces with Ricken Prince, the twosome became the most loathed men in the GWF. However, the fans gained respect for the odd couple as they plowed through the competition, winning the Galaxian Tag Team Titles in June, and they are now full-fledged faces. Cordsar and Trotarus shocked the galaxy when they gained a clean victory over Rock Solid in a non-title match a couple months back. The Mensans then defeated the CrossCurrents in a #1 contenders match to earn their 10th opportunity at the straps.
COSMIC CAGE MATCH
Torin Caelum vs. Mangus
This rivalry kicked off in March when Caelum came back from being sidelined for two months by beating the alien by submission. As a result, Mangus got even by helping his ally Morpheus retain the Galaxian Heavyweight Title just as Caelum was about to win it. A few weeks later, the reptile attacks Caelum and put him out of action for two months with a torn ACL. Upon his return, “The MasterTech” swore revenge on Mangus but lost to him clean in a 5-star match. The feud doesn’t stop there as they continue to interfere in each other’s matches and brawl whenever the opportunity presents itself. Things have become so heated between the two that Mangus had a cobra bite Caelum on the neck just a few days ago! Not being at 100%, plus being 0-3 at Revolution, things aren’t looking good for the fan favorite.
P.O.W. RULES MATCH
Paladin Power vs. Defiance
These teams have never been the best of friends, and things got only worse after Jammer had Solar Flare locked in the BAD NIGHT and thought he and Blood were the new Galaxian Tag Team Champions. Unfortunately, the time limit had expired just before Flare’s arm was dropped for the third and final time. To say that the drunks were furious would be a severe understatement.
Defiance developed a “new attitude” of sorts over the next couple months, attacking the Paladins, as well as other wrestlers, with steel chairs, brass knuckles, and whatever else looked useful. Their violence increased when they broke Moonstrike’s arm by snapping it in a steel chair, and as a result, Paladin Power were forced to surrender their titles.
Solar Flare gained a measure of revenge when he helped Rock Solid beat the roughousers for the vacant straps, but on July 12, he paid for it very dearly. That night, Flare beat Blood in a P.O.W. Rules Match with Moonstrike and Jammer both interfering. As the Paladins celebrated, Jammer clocked both of them with a steel chair. The “Bald Bruiser” then used some rope to tie both of Moonstrike’s hands and feet to the top rope. A revived Blood then took the chair and put it around Flare’s neck as he lied on the canvas on his back. The drunk then went upstairs, jumped off, and CRACK!
The drunk stomped the weapon with all of his might, breaking Flare’s neck! The Titan began to immediately gasp for air as blood poured out of his mouth. A somewhat-conscious Moonstrike struggled to free himself as he witnessed the terror occurring before him. Jammer then carefully brought Flare out to the floor, with the chair still wrapped around his neck, and put him into position for a DDT as Blood once again went upstairs. The “Bald Bruiser” slightly lifted Flare’s lifeless body into the air and BAM! Blood pushed Flare’s legs downward, giving his partner’s DDT much more power!
Teenaged girls and little kids were bawling throughout the stands as a broken Flare laid on the concrete floor, completely unconscious with the now-bent chair still wrapped around his neck and blood gushing from forehead and mouth. Moonstrike was beside himself, shouting “FLAAAAAAARRRREEEE!!! FLAAAAAAARRRREEEE!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!”
Before any more damage could be done, Commissioner Melesky ran down the entrance ramp with a dozen police officers. The roughousers begin to swing at the cops, but they were soon overpowered. Defiance was then handcuffed and led out of the arena. The show was put on hold while the emergency medical team drove an ambulance directly down the entrance ramp to transports Flare to the nearest hospital.
For the next five months, Moonstrike does everything he can to avenge his partner’s barbaric assault. He wrestles Blood and Jammer in singles matches, tag matches, and frequently brawls with them backstage. Then, on November 29, Moonstrike handcuffs himself to the top rope, and says that Defiance will have to come out and end his career for him to let his grudge go. The drunks take the bait and run down to give the Paladin the beating of his life, one of the most colossal pops in GWF history was heard as a familiar face hit the ring wielding a baseball bat!!!
BAM! Solar Flare cracked Blood right in the back with all of his might and then cleaned house on both roughousers! With both members of Defiance laid out in the ring, Flare grabbed a microphone and told the drunks that although they put him down, they didn’t put him out, and that he, Moonstrike, and their buddy Louie (the baseball bat) were going to give them the ass-whipping of a lifetime in a P.O.W. Rules Match at Revolution.
MAIN EVENT
GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Omega© vs. Morpheus
The match that has been 5 years in the making. The founding fathers of the GWF spent most of the first two years of the company’s existence as its tag team champions as The Guardians. However, problems started to mount and jealousy and contempt caused the partnership to break up. A bout between the two seemed like the natural thing to do but Omega refused to wrestle his former partner. The rivals finally locked up in the 2076 battle royal, which saw Morpheus eliminate Omega, giving “The Powerhouse” a giant ego boost.
Things became even more grim for Omega as he and Commander Sam were brutally attacked on November 2, 2076 by two men sporting black masks, gloves, and boots with matching black spandex bodysuits. The larger thug beat the Indian down with a baseball bat, then whipped the noble one with a leather strap, causing his skin to split open and bleed. To end the vicious assault, Omega is tossed through a set of glass double doors and left in a bloody and battered heap. As a result of the attack, the Indian suffered a broken tibia, a broken jaw, and multiple cuts and welts that took staples to close. He misses four months of action.
Upon his return Omega assists his friend Torin Caelum in his battles against Mangus and Morpheus, although the former Guardians never officially lock up in the ring. In August 2077, Santon regained the Galaxian Heavyweight Title from Morpheus in a Last Man Standing Match which put “The Powerhouse” on the shelf for two months. While Morpheus was recovering from his injuries, Omega received a title shot and captured the gold from the masked man.
A few weeks later, Omega successfully retained the title against Santon, but as the Indian slowly backs up the entrance ramp, he bumped into someone that is standing behind him. The crowd let out a gigantic pop as the noble one turned around and saw none other than Morpheus. The returning powerhouse challenged his former partner to a title match at Revolution IV, but the noble one declined the offer, telling Morpheus that he must EARN the right to challenge him. The powerhouse then revealed that HE was the one who brutally attacked the Indian in November 2076!
The crowd was stunned in a state of disbelief as was Omega. Then, he let out a shrieking war cry and nailed Morpheus with a hard right as the crowd went absolutely ballistic!!! A colossal pop filled the arena as the founding fathers of the GWF begin trading chops and punches. Omega was showing a wrath of anger that no one had ever seen before as he floored the powerhouse right on the top of the entrance ramp with a TOMAHAWK THRUST. The champion then grabbed a microphone, stood over the powerhouse, and told Morpheus that he ACCEPTED his challenge!
*Commander Sam & Silvar out with injuries; will not compete
