2122 Eight Man Tournament

After playing an indie 8 man tournament I decided to try an 8 man 2122 tournament. Daimyo and Strafe sat this one out.

Round 1:

U.S.Male vs Vidtek
Wolf vs. Betrayer
Havoc vs. Malkuth
Sly Drury vs. Retribution

Round 2:

U.S. Male vs. Wolf
This was the best match of the tournament. It lasted between 15-30 minutes. Wolf missed his Savage Face Claw at least two times and both men got tied up in the ropes at least once apiece. The referee was hit and knocked out but only long enough for him to miss seeing Wolf apply his finisher again. The fight spilled to the outside and a countout was averted by U.S. Male on one occassion and Wolf was nearly dq'd on the outside twice. Wolf finally got dq'd on the outside on his third visit. Just about everything that could have happened in this one did. I rolled more 2's and 12's this match for some reason.


Malkuth vs. Sly Drury

Malkuth was holding his own real well, hitting his finisher several times but Drury managed to kick out of all pin attempts. Drury's "Flaunt the Law" caused Malkuth a lot of grief and he finally succumbed to high fatigue and Crime Lord.

Final Round:

U.S. Male vs. Sly Drury
Good match, not great. Kind of an anti climax compared to the U.S. Male vs Wolf match. Male hit with his Patriot Missle a few times but Drury escaped the three count each time. Male never managed to hit his Sieze the Day and found himself the victem to the Crime Lord eventually.

Bonus Match:

I was still hankering for action so I decided to reward Sly for his win by bringing Monolith to the ring. My action hankering wasn't appeased though. Monolith creamed Sly in three moves.
