CPC NEWS UPDATE: After the match on Tuesday on Goldrush between Thayne and Onami, every effort is being made to make sure Thayne is safe. Mensar was furious at loosing the CPC Heavyweight title to MIke Fortune and has demanded a rematch from Commissioner Prell. Unofficial word from the commissioner's office is Prell is not really interested in giving him anything. And in other news, President Prodigy's "special guest" has not returned any phone calls at this time regarding his descision on which organization to join. In the end I know he will make the right choice."

CPC Online News Update: The investigation into who shot at Mensar during the title matches these past two weeks continues. Mike Fortune isn't talking, but the champ did issue this statement, "Hey, it wasn't me. I was in the ring. I can't control what people do." Meanwhile, word from President Prodigy's office is that he isn't happy at all about the situation with someone else holding the belt and Euritar being the Number One Contender. What actions he will take to improve the situation to his liking are unknown at this time.
After his great showing against Cypher on the last Goldrush, Shylock has issued a "OFC Open Challenge." "Anyone who thinks they have what it takes to take on the best man in the OFC, step up. Because he am focused, he is ready, and I am proving that he is the best," Splatter said of his client. So far no official word on any takers, but several CPC competitors have expressed interest off the record.
And finally, after the second week of wild brawling backstage, Commissioner Prell has ordered a HUGE Six-Man Tag Team match for the next Goldrush. It will be Absalom, Indigo and Viggo teaming together to face Onami, Ahnu and Dar Gova! Now some wrestlers have been a little upset that the "no team" concept hasn't been enforced against the newly re-arrived Jardiil wrestlers. On this Prell said, "So far they have not declared their intentions as to where they fit in the singles or tag team divisions. They are not being represented by a manager. I don't see their cooperation as being more harmful to the 'no team' concept than Cypher getting involved in Gunnar's feud with Zed Marlowe. Until they declare a tag team I will count them as singles wrestlers, and singles wrestlers helping out other singles wrestlers is not against the rules."

CPC Online News Update: Most of the focus this week has been on trying to get a word with the newest high profile member of the CPC roster, none other than former gravity ball star turned pro wrestler Overtime! While he could not be reached for comment himself, President Prodigy did issue a statement saying he thought Overtime "made the right choice by joining the CPC." What does the future hold for this outstanding, if egotistical, superstar.
The other story that is tearing up the CPC rumor mill is, Who was that mysterious woman who attacked Count Necros on the last Goldrush? Sources for CPC Online have discovered that she goes by the name Nightmare Nikki and she and her current significant other are pro wrestlers on the independent circuit. When asked why she attacked Count Necros, Nikki responded, "He knows what he did! And the next time, he will have to face up to his crimes!" A very cryptic and ominous threat from this sultry newcomer.
Due to the brawling that prevented the six-man tag team match on the last Goldrush from being an actual tag team match, Commissioner Prell has ordered a rematch under Ultimate Escape Cage Match rules! "It's not a match CPC fans get to see often, but I think in this situation it is the most fitting way to keep these six men from depriving the fans of the matches they deserve."
Not to be outdone by Shylock, current OFC Champion Stigma has issued an open challenge of his own to the competitors of the CPC. "Any man that thinks he's tough enough to take me on can do so. That chump Shylock has nothing on a real OFC star." Several men, including Shylock, are itching to answer the challenge.
And finally, Talisman is calling Commissioner Prell's compromise match between Raze and Dante to determine who gets the next Interstellar title shot another example of "religious persecution." "If I had refused that match, Raze would have been fully denied his right to a rematch. However by openly denying him that rematch anyway, Commissioner Prell has show once again that the followers of the True Way of Life are being held back because of their religious convictions." He went on to say a lot more, but for the sake of space it will not be reprinted here.

CPC Online News Update:
With his surprise victory on the last Goldrush, Overtime is demanding that he be given his title shot on the next Goldrush program. "Overtime is not some chump who's going to ride the bench. Overtime wants what he deserves, and Overtime wants it now," was the only comment CPC Online corespondents could get from the former gravity ball star. Current CPC Heavyweight champion Mike Fortune had this to say, "If that egomaniac wants a shot at me, he can have it. But he better watch his back if he knows what's good for him."
Due to the end of the Tag Team Title match Commissioner Prell has ordered The Punks and Lower World to face off again, this time in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. "If these two teams want to brawl, let them brawl," said the commissioner when asked about the decision. "The fans want to see these guys go at it, and I don't want a repeat of the last time." The Punks seemed to be rather welcoming of the decision. "We aren't scared of those guys," said Romulus, obviously referring to Death's Head and Erebus, "The Punks can battle just as hard as any other team in this business." Lower World could not be reached for comment.
Stigma has issued a challenge to Zed Marlowe to face him in an OFC style match. "I showed just what I can do when I took down that hairy ape on the last Goldrush. He showed what he can do taking Shylock to his limit a few weeks ago. But Shylock is a chump. I am the champ. Zed thinks he can mess with one Canopian and get away with it, he is dead wrong. Let's see how he does in a real OFC fight." Zed Marlowe's manager, Killer Queen, had this to say, "Zed is a very competitive man. He's not going to turn down a challenge. I just hope Stigma doesn't get to cocky. After all, we know Zed's record against other Canopians."
The Ultimate Escape match between Absalom, Indigo and Viggo and the Jardiil didn't seem to settle any scores in this feud. If anything it ramped up the aggression level. "They kidnap my friend's family, they kidnap my friend, if they think this is over they are wrong! I will not rest until both Thayne and his family are returned safely," Viggo told our CPC Online reporters. The Jardiil contingent had no comments but issued this brief statement, "We have done nothing wrong. We retrieved prisoners of war and lawfully arrested a war criminal to stand trial. Further acts of aggression by the radicals will result in swift retaliation." Everyone waits to see how this issue gets resolved.
And finally, J.J. Smooth issued a rather angry statement to CPC Online reporters. "I am sick and tired of being the butt of Comedy's jokes! I have talent! I have style! I am J.J. Smooth! And I have friends! Comedy better watch his back, because I'm going to give him what he deserves soon enough." Comedy was asked about these comments, but he only mimed laughing hard, slapping his knee, then he polished the CPC Interstellar title he had around his waist and left.
