The Galactic Wrestling Federation PRESENTS:
D-DAY 33!
LIVE FROM THE WARRIOR VILLAGE COLISEUM ON AETHRA!
March 30, 2119!
GWF Heavyweight Title
Encubus © w/ Thantos vs. Steele Freak w/ Vin Strutter
PREVIEW: Since the beginning of 2119, Strutter and Thantos have been at each other’s throats over control of the villain team. With Steele Freak’s Galactic Rumble victory, Strutter is very sure that his hottest wrestler is going to take the GWF Title off the waist of Encubus, however with Encubus destroying everyone who has gotten in his way, the Greatest Showman in the Galaxy could be mistaken. If Steele Freak does win, what will Thantos’ place in the villain camp be? And if Encubus wins, will it put the Don King of the GWF in his place? Encubus is sure to come out fighting after the beat down he and Thantos received at the hands of the Greatest Show in the Galaxy on the 3/17 edition of WAR Whatever the case may be this one is sure to be a knock down, drag out affair
GWF Tag Team Titles
The Troubleshooters © w/ Phantasy vs. The Gladiators of Aethra
PREVIEW: The Gladiators have destroyed every team in their path except one: The Troubleshooters. The GWF Tag Team champions have never been defeated in a tag match and hold a victory over the Gladiators at No Limits. With the show taking place on Aethra the challengers have an advantage, but will it be enough of one to take out the cocky tag team champions who for weeks now have been mocking past Gladiator greats? The Bomb has even promised to wipe the paint off of Havoc’s face to shut this team up This one friends, will be a war
GWF Inter-Planetary Title
Bloodline © vs. Endgame
PREVIEW: Bloodline’s uppity attitude has bothered some on the hero side, even though the troubled GWF star has a point. He has constantly stressed the fact that he is the only member of the FDF, or any hero, who has a piece of championship gold. This has gotten to Endgame. After demanding a “Respect match” for D-Day, Massif entered Endgame into a #1 contendership tournament which culminated in a ladder match against Disaster this past Monday on WAR. When these two GWF Superstars meet, it’s going to be anything but nice. Bloodline wished Endgame luck against Disaster, but told him to ultimately look forward to disappointment. Can Endgame prove Bloodline wrong?
Cosmic Cage Match
Payback vs. Kill Prey
PREVIEW: Kill Prey has openly mocked the superstar from Titan for not being able to win the Galactic Rumble and for the flop that has been Titan Glory. Payback snapped and has been looking to get Kill Prey in the ring Kill Prey, however, has declined every challenge the Titan has made. Until the 3/17 WAR when Payback threatened to take his frustration out on Shann-Ra Then Kill Prey accepted the cage match for D-Day
GIVE ME RESPECT
Switchblade vs. The Amazing Mann
PREVIEW: After a very hot March, Switchblade seemed to be cruising into a possible I-P title shot at D-Day. The Amazing Mann wanted to see things differently and brutally attacked Switchblade prior to a match that would have been crucial in Switchblade’s hunt for a title. Mann and Strutter have gone all over the GWF saying that the only reason Switchblade is getting any kind of shot is because Lorelei is too friendly with Massif. Last week on WAR Switchblade flipped and destroyed Mann with a chair. While soaking the former I-P champion in blood, Switchblade was yelling, “GIVE ME RESPECT! GIVE ME RESPECT!” On March 30, we will see if he can earn that respect.
GWF Women’s Title
Thrash © vs. Lorelei
PREVIEW: Thrash has been virtually unstoppable since becoming the Women’s champion at Galactic Rumble. After Bloodline’s rousing speech to the members of the FDF, Lorelei has been on a roll and comes into D-Day facing quite possibly the most dangerous woman in the GWF. With Thrash holding a home field advantage, Lorelei has to overcome if she wants to bring more gold to the FDF, if she can’t then she may be facing a very unhappy Bloodline.
TABLES MATCH
Valour vs. Epoch
PREVIEW: After Epoch’s petition to get Valour suspended from the GWF, the wild anti-hero of the Guardians has been on a death march for Epoch. After a VIOLENT OUTBURST upon his return, Massif decided that this could go on no longer. A Tables Match has been signed for D-Day and let’s just hope the Warrior Village Coliseum can contain these two.
OTHER MATCHES:
SURVIVOR MATCH: Genesis and High Stakes vs. Tanck, The Betrayer, Slave Beast, and Disaster
MIXED TAG: American Guy and Latasha w/ U.S. Male vs. Swarm and She-Devil
----------------------------------------------------------
The dice have turned the GWF into an interesting thing one quarter of the way into 2119. I never would have expected Disaster to be in a lower-card survivor match to open up the biggest event of the year!
Thoughts? Comments? Predictions? All are welcome!
