I had a couple of forced breaks
Early '91 - In Iraq for the Gulf war stopped for 4 months until some of my cards were sent to me
May 93 - Second son was born, very busy time at first, didn't pick up the game for about a year
Summer 95 - Tore acl for the second time, trying to work and rehab with familty didn't leave time for hobbies, didn't play for a year or so
Feb 98 - Left military, starting new job, with through a divorce, probably didn't play again till 2001
Been playing fairly regularly ever since though.
Howbout you?

I played straight from 88 to about 94-95 (senior year antics, graduation, etc.). I moved away after graduation, and that was the last time I had played up until a few months ago, when I started re-ordering the sets.

I lost my cards twice. First after 2089. Then again after 2092. Once I got some money, I ordered through 2098. (And found out they were nearing 2101) Purchased again and have been playing since though sometimes sporiadically.

Basement flood ruined lots of my stuff and all of my results/title histories. I felt like all the hard work that had went into keeping track of that stuff had gone down the drain. I was pretty bummed out, and took a nearly six year break from the game.

I sold all my stuff and quit playing because Swarm was mean to me. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, wait. That wasn't me.
I played from 87-89 and quit when I went to college to try (unsuccessfully) to be less of a dork. Got back in thru legends in 2006 and started New Beginnings in 2007.

Stopped playing for a bit in the first semester of my freshman year of college, which happened to coincide with the 1994 baseball strike, so I just had a wrestler strike in my storyline. Picked it back up during winter break that year and have just continued ever since.

I played from August 27, 1990 till August 27, 1998 in the "first era." Went to Galacticon in 1998. Stopped because of first year of college.
"Second era" began October of 1999, had my own room and it seemed I always had Monday night free. Hence the debut of Marauder Monday night. Continued on even after transfering to new school and getting a new roomate, played less but Monday night again still free because of his class schedule. This era stopped somewhere in late 2002, entered last semester of college and did a lot of paryting.
"Third era" began May 2004. The TV season had just ended and I wanted something to do and look forward to. Started playing again. Got hooked when Wraith got ahold of the CPC Galaxian title and finally achieved the one year title reign. Attended my second Galacticon in 2005. Played a couple months and just sort of lost interest after Wraith started going downhill.
"Fourth era" is what I am in now. Got back into it because after 17 years I finally figured out my perfect system. I loved rankings and feuds but didn't know a way to do it until my friend got me watching Boxing. I was then like I LOVE title reigns and an interesting idea might be making all the planets be like a different territory or federation with it's own title and commissioners. Unique feuds pop up out of nowhere and drive the title picture. I am personally helping out the Venus division but every other planet is thriving with it's unique brand. I love accidental feuds more then dicated ones. Take the Ceres Tag titles for instance (formerly the Asteroid Belt tag titles but I though Ceres sounded cooler and there is a big mass called Ceres within) ... Godsend and Exodus are the current tag champs and are having one of my favorite feuds of all time now with the Troubleshooters. You can't even plan stuff like and now I actually stand up to play these matches I get so excited playing them.

Took off for College, then realized I had other hobbies that were not GWF related. Thanks to my son though...I'm back on the Horse! Until this year, I hadn't played since 1995! But hey, least I was a pack rat...I had kept EVERYTHING!

I bought COTG when 2091 was released, I played until the first Sudden Death was wrapped up. I graduated High School and decided my game playing days were over, then I heard about Civil War. I had to play again, so I bought all the cards again, since I threw out my old ones, and played until The End. I was not a fan of that story arc, and I decided I was really done that time. Then New Beginning came out and I was itching to play again, so I got the boxed set, and here I am again.

I think it's funny how, and this isn't only related to COTG, we all seem to go through that "trying to be cool" phase where we put away our nerdy, childish hobbies...for a few years. They always seem to come back when you reach a certain age where you no longer care about being "cool".

my longest stint was from Aug 21 - Nov 15, 2001...Air Force Officers Training School...Had i brought COTG there, i would never have been able to get it out of personal item storage along with the rest of my stuff...not that i wouldn't have pulled it out given the chance. The two times that i was able to get online while there, the COTG site was my first stop.
I am fairly certain that is the longest break that i have ever had...

Originally bought the game in 1997, I quit when I went to college(1999), picked it back up here and there, then came back full force last September.

I stopped playing full time when I went into the USMC but played when I wasnt training or deployed. *didnt want to bring them and have them get racked or ruined.
Now I play out the entire year as fast as I can and then move on to other things then come back either when a new set comes out or right at the end before another new set comes out. This lets me play back to back or gives me time to play other feds like my GCW.
I dont know specific dates but if I thought about it I am sure I could come up with them.

Picked up the game in '88 and stopped around '91 -'92 when I was a sophmore in high school and started to run out of time with other activities occupying my time. Also my interested in pro wrestling fell off. Early '98 I got back into wrestling and looked up the game again and haven't stopped. This time I've stopped watching wrestling last summer and still play the game strong.

I stop usually for a few months. I bought sets and played for a while then stopped for a few years. I lost those sets ,then was able to obtain some more sets and play again. I'm currently not playing but go on here to read. I'm real busy. I hope to get back soon.

I temporarily stopped playing after I lost most of my stuff up to 2092. I got back up with 2098 (the actual game was up to 2100) I then got 2099-2101 plus classics to that point and have been up to date ever since.
