Very cool card and very close to what I imagined him looking like though I saw more blue in his costume other than red, but hey that's just the Apocalypse look a like in me. I'm actually glad he has a different color so it separates the two. Also I'm very excited to see my belt in GWF continuity that's very cool. That's awesome Kevin. Now if we could just find a way to get the IP title in there somewhere. One of these days (though i've been saying it for the last decade) I'll get to G-Con and bring the belts.

Hey I am so glad that the right person noticed that little detail I added. I did alot of research before I started on this card. I looked at every card ever made plus I my buddie Keith purchased the original pencils from Chuck Carter back in 2001 so I even had those pics to look at. I thought it would be really cool to have the title belt on him. I love the belt you had created and made dam sure that that is what the belt would look like on the Chaos Pic. I also avoid blue for his card because of you guessed it Apocalypse look alike. Plus when I first did Diseater's card in blue everyone though he would look better in red so I guess that stuck on the back of my mind.
Thanks, Kevin

That's awesome man. I did a lot of research before I penciled the belt designs and it really is amazing you put the belt on Chaos as he is exactly who I had in mind for the belt.
The way I see it the belt Thantos is wearing in 2087 is indicative of a belt from our generation of the late 70s early 80s. Not a lot of glamour a solid plate color, in essence not a lot of contrast. By the time Chaos comes on the scene wrestling is huge, mainstream if you will, and a new belt would have been introduced. Ala WWF circa '88. I was very much influenced by the Winged Eagle belt that Macho Man won at WM 4 as the new generation. I used that inspiration to design what I call the Chaos Galactic title. I even put the side bars on it in the beginning, but scrapped them as I liked the steamlined look of the main plate by itself.
I'm a beltaholic and I really try and deconstruct the design. I'm realy happy you put this Chaos as I see this belt being a part of GWF lore circa 92-93 and retired around 00-01 as the new wave began to take over, mainly Pegasus. I have a different belt in mind for his reigning years.

Kevin's use of the belt is a wink wink nudge nudge homage to the belt. To see it in full go to the federation friends link: www.filsingergames.com/universe.htmPics are half way down.

Hey Mr Knipe...I used that color Chaos card of yours to win the Galacticup, and it was photoed (and videoed) so everyone can see the great job you did with it.

I looked at your site KevinK, and i can only see the very top of the belt in the picture. Yeah the belt will only show on the very top of his pants because did not have enough room with his hand holding the cube in the air. On the original none carded version you can see more of his belt. I also have pencils and inks before that I may put on the site soon.

Hey Kev, can I share the alternate art or would you rather do it? Or not yet or at all?

Hey Kev, can I share the alternate art or would you rather do it? Or not yet or at all? I doesn't bother me, but I really dislike the original picture that I created so that is why I redid again but I believe it does show a lot more of the GWF belt on it. Kevin K

Definitely a good idea to go with the 2nd drawing.

Definitely a good idea to go with the 2nd drawing. Let's see you do better than the first. I'm the one who got him to draw a second one but the first is still kickass.

I really dig that Chaos art, KB! While Carter's original Chaos card had a grand 'Galactus' feel to it, (as in, he looks impressive and doesn't really need to move much to intimidate and/or defeat the opponent) I had trouble picturing him wrestling in the ring. However, this new art looks very fluid... I believe he looks as he was basically intended... a guy with fairly good strength who is obsessed with an artifact (Alpha Stone) that gives him godly strength. I can just imagine Chaos in this art looking up at his opponent a few seconds later and giving him an evil smirk... he knows he's going to beat the opponent... it's just a matter of how long he wants to beat on him for :-)

I also liked the 1992 Card which I think was the best version to base my drawing from. The other cards after were poorly drawn and kinda lost the powerful feeling that I invisioned from the first 2 cards. I am glad you like. The 2nd version that I created I think still blows my first verison away. The first one I was so concerned with getting the head right I think I made it too stiff and once I got some feedback I was like yeah this card stinks do it over. I am glad I did much better on the second attempt. Kevin K
