I thought of this question for ages and wasn't sure we'd ever get a bootleg polls so I could ask it. Now is my big chance I think..
I prefer to have storylines for my bootlegs as there are for the COTG wrestlers. I feel that it makes getting them fueding a lot easier..

You need storylines. Now you don't have to follow them to the letter, but they give a lot of background to the characters.

I like to have a storyline/background for characters in case I want to use it. Depends on the character or what I'd be needing them for in my fed wether I used the story or not but it's nice to have any way to give you a start.

You need something to add flavor to your bootlegs. My 16 card set has an entire backstory, each guys backstory and feuds alliances etc

im with neilybob let the "self promoted" wrestlers have a little spice of wild rice !!
IN MY BEST dUSTY rHODES voice"yah, babeah youzz gatta have an stoory lien so wez allcun feelz tha flaya.Flair,Blancah, and Andason boyz. IM comin foeyah!"
even the fat man himself in every promo gave an little story move the "wrasslin"along.

ok, I went against the grain here. I hardly ever think of a storyline for any of my creations. I figure, when they wrestle in the ring, the story lines build themselves.
Although, in some of mine, I have created a little blurp about them or at least have an idea of what their personality would be like and that somewhat helps create feuds, angles, etc...

It helps to sell it better . You understand feuds and angles better . . There is always a reason why ? . I always try to add them into my bootleg feds .

Storylines can be a guideline...not necessary so indepth, but atleast a story to tell about them, like who they are...if they were a star in another fed and were a hot commodity, etc. You don't have to get real indepth and have big press conferences and stuff, but good news stories are always nice which I try to do. It helps things out. Like Ray said, it's a starting point, and in the ring, things will change and write stories themselves.
