With christmas & new year approaching . I was wondering what days have you got off ? or what days are you working , over the holidays ? . We all got told yesterday (Tuesday 19th December) anyone who should be in on a monday . Will have to come into work on NEW YEAR'S EVE night (monday) . Okay I have no problem with that . In the past , when I was in security , I have worked christmas day etc . But been paid double time or treble time . ALL we are gonna get is our normal rate , plus an extra £1-12p an hour (in USA about $1-80 an hour extra) . What an inuslt . What will we be doing ? . Dressing the shop nice for the customers on New Year's day . I am in boxing day (26th) / 27th and 28th . OFF 29th and 30th . Then back to normal for me . (Ps) Are you laughing pal ? because Im in the mood to fight somebody ?

I got triple time for working Thanksgiving (as management I got paid regardless of whether I worked or not, plus double time) and on Christmas we're closed but I get paid 8 hours anyhow. I'm cool Who are you wanting to fight?

After tomorrow, I get 2 paid weeks off and I'm working again I think on January 8.
Normally we only have to work 3 weeks between Thanksgiving until our annual paid 2 week winter break but this year we had to work 4 weeks between those 2 paid holiday breaks. But it works out because it puts us one week closer to our 2 1/2 month paid summer break which this year begins the week of Memorial Day instead of about June 10th as usual.
One of the advantages of being a teacher is that you get lots of paid time off every year.

After today, I'm off until Jan. 7. Thank God... Wow! We go til Friday and then we're back in class on Jan. 3! That is brutal. No excuse for having school Friday - 4 days before XMas. Try accomplishing anything, it will be impossible. Good luck!

Tuesday was my last night off this year...My next night off is January third...15 days straight, anywhere from 127-165 hours depending on what I want to be doing every night (whether I want to do Manager's backoffice crap and deposits)...

I'll be off Dec. 23-25. My store won my day off on Christmas Eve. Everyone else has to work a half-day(until 3pm). My employees care about me.
