Found a Wallet

Well I have some really good news.
On an earlier post here I mentioned I talked to the police about the wallet over the phone and they told me I could drop it off at the local station tomorrow at my convenience.
Well when I talked to the officer earlier today, he asked me at that time for the guy's name and address as listed on the ID card in his wallet just to ensure he wasn't the victim of a violent crime or something. I later got a message from the officer as I was headed to the gym tonight and it turns out that this guy was a witness to a crime a couple of weeks ago so they had his name in their recent database and were able to track and find him easily!
The officer also told me tonight that he called this guy and found out that he did lose his wallet and he is reportedly really glad and surprised that somebody reported finding it with money inside. And now the guy also doesn't have to go back to the DMV and spend the time and money necessary to get a whole new ID card. I told the officer I will drop the wallet off at the local police station on Cheyenne after I get done teaching tomorrow. Now I also have a cool story to tell my Criminal Justice students.
To me I have no problem winning money from the casinos when I accurately predict the outcomes of games at the sportsbook (like today when the Patriots failed to defeat the Colts by at least 6 ). But to me there just wouldn't be any thrill in taking this money from some guy who just dropped his wallet on the street. I'm glad he is getting his wallet and everything in it back.
