I'm still trying to figure out the Catalog to decide which games I want to buy first. Obviously the intro packs are the way to go. A few questions, CoTG: Does the New Beginnings Box include all the same stuff as the Original (wrestlers)? I see there's a 30 year difference in timelines from one to the other. edit-> The "Storm the Ring and Brawl" pack; does this include all the LoW or just CoTG? It only says CoTG in the details button. Is the gameplay the same between the two versions? If not, which one is the most popular around here? LoW: Does this game integrate with the CoTG? I know they're all different timelines, but are they basically the same rules, etc? I'll probably buy both LoW and CoTG, just to see the differences. I apologize if any of this is out there already (questions and info) but I'm still getting a feel for this forum.

New Beginnings comes with dice, charts, and rules just like the original COTG boxed eition. But the wrestler cards themselves are of course different because New Beginnings is 32 years later in the future from the original 2087 boxed set. Storm the Ring is only COTG. Yes, the gameplay is basically the same. I think most people on this board prefer COTG. LOW is actually my personal favorite- but I still buy and play everything COTG. Most people, even those who play both, don't mix COTG and LOW. But in your fed you really can do whatever you want.

I would start at 1987 online and New Beginnings with the cards. I like LOW but don't get around to playing much of it.

One of the big differences between LOW and COTG is in the way the sets are constructed. For LOW, you can buy anything you want that's available, put it together however, and away you go. You don't really lose anything by missing a set other than the wrestlers in it. With COTG, though, there's an ongoing narrative behind it that's more than 20 years old now. One set leads to another, guys start as rookies, grow into stars, and then diminish until they retire. That story is why I prefer COTG, personally. If you like story, pick a flavor of COTG and go with it - Storm the Ring and Brawl is probably your best bet. If you're more drawn to real stars, then go with LOW. Both are awesome.
