Waffle House is awesome. Another thing they don't have up this way.
Seriously, you can go in and get a great breakfast (that i'm sure is terrible for you) for like 4 bucks.

I was thrilled when Chili's came to Ithaca, because the only other chain sitdown restaurants were Friendly's and Applebees. Applebees is beyond horrible. Chili's was a nice upgrade. Yeah, I also think Applebees is betond horrible and for me TGIFs isn't much better. But Chile's is OK- I used to live right next to one and would get a burger there about once a month.

Waffle House's best use is if you're on a late-night road trip or want to grab a meal after a concert or something. I could never go there on a semi-regular basis, though.
And ditto the Applebee's hate. I'm not a fan of 99% of chain restaurants, with the exception of Outback and Sbarro.
I'm a really picky eater but I'll try just about anything once.

I do like Waffle House. I used to eat there a lot years ago when I was stationed down south. Jack In The Box ( AKA Jack In The Crack) and Taco Bell have to be 2 of the worst IMO

Waffle Houses are starting to creep up here...on Pennsylvania/NJ border and in Maryland.
Never been to Longhorn, but I hear great things. There is one not to far away...but I think it will be a while before I'll have an opportunity to go.
I wish we did have a Jack in the Crack here. The sour dough sandwich's are great.
And Doom...don't let me catch you disparaging Taco Bell again. Dem's fightin words as far as I'm concerned.
One of my favorite chains I will be having this Friday for my birthday dinner. Cheesecake Factory. Huge portions of good food and awsome desserts. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake...mmmmmmmm.

never heard of it until now todd. Cheesecake Factories are generally just in bigger cities neily. No chance of it ever coming to Ithaca. You'll have to go to Albany or Buffalo.

My wife and I just went to the Cheesecake Factory in Baltimore this past weekend. Calling it "huge" portions of food is doing a disservice to the food. "No-freakin-way-I-could-ever-eat-all-this-without-two-stomachs-and-a-weeklong-hunger-strike" food is more like it. And then we left the leftovers in the hotel fridge. We;ve got a couple Waffle Houses in Maryland, and my folks really got into them when my brother lived in Tennessee and they'd visit him. Me, I was never much of a fan.

The Cheescake Factory is pretty good. In Las Vegas, we have 3 Cheesecake Factories one of which is in the Forum shops at Caesar's Palace.

Mr Vegas do they still have Carls Jr. out your way? Yeah, they're all over the place in Las Vegas. Anybody ever have Pink's hot dogs from Hollywood? They're awesome and they sell them in the sportsbook at the Planet Hollywood casino on the Strip.

Anybody ever have Pink's hot dogs from Hollywood? I grew up about 20 miles east of LA...but spent very little time in Hollywood. I could count the number of times i had seen the Hollywood sign on one hand in the 19 years i lived there prior to joining the Air Force. Anyway, when we went to my folks house in June my wife said we had to go to Pinks...I was like...OK, what is Pink's? Of course i caught all kinds of crap for not knowing what Pink's is...so we went...it was GOOD! Not as good as In-N-Out, but for a hot dog, it was good and worth the drive...of course we went to see th Hollywood sign and the Hollywood Chinese Theater to see the hand and footprints in cemet...Oceans 13 had just debuted there so those were the prints everyone wanted to see...

Ever gone to a Longhorn Steakhouse? Awesome. I just wish the one nearest to me was ... well ... nearer. There's one 5 minutes from my house. I sense a CPC strategy session coming on.... Maybe not. CPC 2122 might open sometime like this: Mensar challenges Euritar to a "Most-porterhouse-steaks-consumed-in-one-sitting-match" that ends when Mensar starts to get full and hangs the cruiserweight from some cowboy memorabilia on the wall when he thinks about the embarrassment of being out-eaten by a guy 150 pounds lighterThen again, the food would be worth it.
