Ok, so I was at the lake all weekend and went tubing behind my friends boat ... On Monday morning I woke up and absolutely positively could NOT move my neck. Well I could move it to the left a little, but I could not make any movements at all toward the right. If I tried it would cause instant pain. At first I thought maybe I slept on it wrong, but this seems worse than that. When I do move my head it sends a lightening bolt of pain through my neck, down my right shoulder and down to my bicep. Could this be a pinched nerve? It's been a few days now and it still hurts, although not nearly as bad as it did on Monday. How concerned should I be about this? Is there a doctor in the house? (and I'm not talking about a doctor of froganomics)

Sounds like a muscle/nerve problem if it's getting better. If you've got good insurance, check it out. If notl, give it a couple of days.

My wife is an occupational therapist and said it sounds like a pinched nerve to her. If you were using your muscles a lot the day before that, your muscle may have spasmed in your sleep and caused the problem. If it's not better in a couple days, a chiropractor might be able to adjust you back in line, but find one that your insurance accepts (not all do).

If you were using your muscles a lot the day before that, your muscle may have spasmed in your sleep and caused the problem. Well I was participating in a "grueling" day long decathlon. The events included: 1) Around the World 2) Bocce Ball 3) Cornhole 4) Home Run Derby 5) Croquet 6) Egg Toss 7) Horseshoes 8) Frisbeer 9) water balloon launch 10) dodgeball Oh, and thanks for the responses guys.

Do we want to know what "cornhole" is? Probably not but you can rest assured he won that event too. Andy: "Doctor. I think I broke my neck yesterday at the lake." Doctor: "What were you doing at the lake when your neck began to hurt?" Andy: "Cornholing." Doctor: "We are talking about the thing that holds your head up arn't we?" Anyway, hope you get to feeling better.

Do we want to know what "cornhole" is? It's like horseshoes, but your tossing bean bags in a wooden box with a hole in the middle instead. Good game to play with a beer in your hand.

I think most of the free world just calls it bags. By far the most popular thing to do at tailgate parties after drinking and eating.

No you didn't break your neck...you just strained a muscle real bad. I've done this a hundred times in the gym. You'll be fine.

We long suspected that Goodzilla was into Cornholing, atleast now he admits it.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. ;D

Do you enjoy a nice bag of tea with your cornhole?
Not that there's anything wrong with that, either.

Isn't cornholing also the way that Goodzilla won the board rumble as well. You have to take the good with the bad.

I played this game for the first time yesterday. It is a lot of fun. My wife and I went up to visit her brother and sister in law who have a summer trailer at Sandusky, right on Lake Erie. People were playing this game all up and down the beach and at the boat docks. Very popular. Apparently the game is also very popular with tailgaters in the Muni Lot before Browns games. So my brother-in-law made one in Browns colors.

geez, a guy comes on here looking for some honest medical advice only to be bombarded by dozens of Dr. Doolittle's. And FYI, cornhole is a very exciting game, very in-depth. Especially when it's a tight game like last weekend. But I squeezed out a victory at the last moment. Jerks lol. And FYI again, your sisters all play it too.
