That despite all our differences in opinion, in spite of all the bickering that can and does go on here at times, that you guys (both the ones I know and the ones I'm just getting to know) are some of the coolest people in the wrestling community. This game is awesome, and you guys are awesome.
Chris, Travis, BDS*, LWPD, Swarm and Payback (yeah, you guys too), GOODZILLA, Neilybob, Soug, and all the rest of you who would take forever to name individually.......thanks for being here.

times like this that you turn to those friends who understand and have that common link. My wife and kids, as great as they are, just don't get it when i sit here and watch wrestling or play COTG. To have a place like this to come to and the COTG to escape to...just what is needed.
And i have to agree...the game is AWESOME and you guys are AWESOME!

Ditto. It's nice to know that when the proverbial fit hits the shan, we're all around to help pick each other up. It's been a tough night for fans of wrestling and Chris Benoit, and having this place to come to has helped me. God bless y'all!

My wife asked me at the start of RAW if I could come in the bedroom and talk while she gets ready for bed. I usually have no problem doing this because I work shifts or I am gone on weekends so this is our time, but tonight I told her no I have to watch RAW and she got a little huffy but she doesn't get it. Another member of out little fraternity is gone and I had to watch the show as a small way to show and pay respect. And knowing that I am not alone in feeling like this helps.

My girls (my wife and our roomy), both just let me sit and watch. Most modays they try and get me to do other things because we have a DVR. Tonight they didn't. And they aren't minding me staying up later than I probably should posting things on this board and reading others posts. We are a family of fans, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I could give up my other games if push came to shove...but I would never give up CotG and LoW, not for all the tea in China.

I agree with everything thats been said in this thread, even the Golden Girls themesong.
Over the last few years I have seen this message board grow and prosper. It's always been a place to talk about the game we all love and have played, in most cases, for a large portion of our lives. Its also a great place for new promoters to learn the ropes and get ideas for their feds. It's fun to come here to exchange ideas, share bootlegs, and make predictions on all that is yet to come.
But there is MUCH more to this site than just COTG. I think I speak for most people when I say that we have a great mix of posters on this board, all of whom have provided me a lot of laughs and memories over the years. I am glad that this game, and this board, are a part of my life.
I know this is a place I can come for advice (which I've done on everything from work issues to girl issues). Over the years I have seen people reach out to others for support over the deaths of loved ones. I have seen people ask for prayers for their family members who were sick and scared in hospital rooms.
But this can also be a place to come to share good news, like promotions at work, finding a new job, the birth of a child or meeting the right girl. All I can say right now is hopefully we'll get more of these types of posts in the future. We all need something good to happen right now.
So, to EVERYONE on this board ... from Detroit to Kentucky ... from Tigers Fans to Cubs Fans to White Sox Fans to Orioles Fans to Red Sox Fans to Padres Fans to Cardinals Fans ... from Vince Lovers to Vince Haters ...

The best thing about this family is we can hate each other, bit%h, argue....but in the end ( to use an Aussie slang ) we're all mates ! This forum is more important than people think. I mean, how can an Aussie like myself talk to all my friends around the world ( yes Swarm, there is more than just the USA ;D. But I guess you guys did give me KISS and the Falcons !
