SEMI-FINALS RESULTS!!!!

I'm Mike M, your broadcast commentator for the Board Member Tournament Semi-Finals. Before we get to the results, I'd like to make one important correction to my call of the last round. I mentioned that "Hardcore" Jim Steel was unable to continue his match after breaking one hand. It seems that he actually had two broken hands, the first one suffered while beating the Tournament Master on the head. My personal apologies to the hardcore icon of this board for suggesting that one broken hand could slow him down.

Back to the current matchups:
7. LWPD vs. 6. BDS*
BDS came out to the ring looking like he’d been up all week. Rumor has it that he fed all of Paint’s history into the Stat Tracker ^TM. Unfortunately, this was too much data for even his mighty creation to handle. Evidently, he hadn’t slept the past three nights trying to fix it.

For those that have never seen a strung-out programmer facing a deadline, it is not a pretty sight. Nevertheless, LWPD had no answer for BDS’ illogical fury. BDS took it to the stoic one, ignoring all reason. Then, from the crowd, someone shouted, “Did you re-index the table?”

Stunned, BDS was done in by another +6 OBSCURE FACT.

And our Main Event…

1. Swarm vs. 13. Tournament Master
Tournament Master came to the ring proudly wearing his “GalactiCon Special” outside his tights, strutting around the ring while sporting a black eye courtesy of Jim Steel. Swarm came to the ring to a chorus of cheers, coupled with a smattering of boos from the Canadian section. Once the bell rang, Swarm proceeded to beat the holy heck out of the Tournament Master. Swarm had to occasionally pause to avoid wearing himself out, and Tournament Master continued to cover up. The end came as Swarm started to “stomp a mud hole and walk it dry” in the middle of the Tournament Master’s chest. It’s rumored that TM started crying at this point, and it looked like Swarm almost felt sorry for his opponent. In that brief moment of hesitation, the Tournament Master reached down his pants... and pulled out an advance copy of SUBVERSION 2122!!!! He threw it outside the ring. Swarm dove to the outside to grab it, but was met by virtually the entire rest of the roster. A virtual melee ensued. As Swarm fought off the crowd, referee Jon E Diamond made the ten-count, and awarded another cheap win to the [glow=red,2,300]Tournament Master.[/glow]

As the Tournament Master celebrated, he took off his “GalactiCon Special” and held it over his head like a championship belt. Meanwhile, Swarm punched out a guy wearing clogs and grabbed the advanced copy of SUBVERSION 2122. He then re-entered the ring. Just as the Tournament Master turned to him, Swarm smiled. Then he punched the Tournament Master in the balls. Twice. Swarm turned and walked towards the back, perusing his advance GWF document a week before G-con.

I can read a fed like this every day, honestly. I especially like the fact that the Canadians were segragated to their own section and who can not like how TM won that match (and what he got for his evil trickery in the end).

Board Member Tournament

I'm Mike M, your play-by-play commentator for the Board Member Tournament Finals. As we all know, the Tournament Master and LWPD advanced to the finals last week, defeating Swarm and BDS*, respectively.

There’s “The Game” by Motorhead- and here comes the #13 seed, Tournament Master. TM’s got that fake nose on from last year’s GalactiCon, and I notice that he appears to be wearing a pillow underneath his GalactiCon special for this match up. Evidently Swarm’s shots to the nether regions are still affecting the Filsinger Games GM. As he makes his way into the ring, TM spits water or some other substance into the air. He’s copying HHH’s gimmick, and then manages to catch his foot on the ropes enter the ring and trips himself up.

And now we hear the soothing sounds of Isreal Kamakawaiwo’ole, and here comes LWPD, the number seven seed. Both contributors have gone through an impressive field to make it to this point and now we need to determine who is THE man on this board.

Only one way to find out as we are LIVE here on the Discussion Board. Many in the crowd are booing the Tournament Master. Quite frankly, many in the crowd are chanting against Paint. A mixed reaction here at the Board Member Finals. This is a Discussion Board Moment! July 2, 2007- circle that date in your calendar. I can tell you that this is a day that I’m never gonna forget. Quite frankly, a match that I thought that we’d never see…

As Paint and TM look at each other, they each turn to opposite sides of the crowd, and the response is a DEAFENING chorus of boos. The turn the opposite way, and the boos continue! These two heels have managed to make it here and the crowd is going wild!

History in the making here and Tournament Master and LWPD circle each other… and I’ll cut through the next 6 hours of them writing posts back in forth and we’ll cut to the finish.

Tournament Master, perhaps inspired by the upcoming trip to Jamestown got in more offense than any other match in the tournament. However, things turned when he reached down into his pants and tried the move that finished off Swarm. However, when he threw the advanced copy of Subversion 2122 out of the ring, LWPD just laughed and said that Swarm had already shared a copy of it with him! Some idiot wearing a wrestlecrap.com t-shirt jumped on the document even though he had no idea what it was. He then climbed back into the stands and was running for the exit when he was clotheslined by Swarm! Some member of the crowd directs a derogatory term for homosexual at the guy with the Wrestlecrap.com t-shirt on, and Swarm laughs as he hands the spoilers to neilybob. Swarm is then immediately banned from the stands.

Back to the ring- LWPD then hit TM with some Irrefutable Logic before throwing him in the Hangman’s Paradox! Things are looking grim for the Tournament Master now…. And there there’s the Super Filibuster! That’s Paint’s big set-up move! Everyone in the building knows what’s coming next- and there it is! OBSCURE FACT! OBSCURE FACT!

THAT’S IT! [glow=red,2,300]LWPD [/glow]is the winner of the first-ever Board Member Tournament! Congratulations to everyone who qualified and thanks for all who voted! See you at GalactiCon!
