Does anyone here know anything about San Diego?
I'm going there this week and, although I live in Las Vegas and go to Los Angeles at least about once a year, it's been like at least 15 years since I've been to San Diego. And if I remember correctly, I was basically just passing on through there at the time to get to Tijuana.
I have a few things lined up like going to a Padres game at PETCO Park. And I'm staying near the Gas Lamp area. But if anyone here knows about anything cool I should check out in San Diego, I'd appreciate your advice.
Thanks.
Mr. Vegas

It's a nice walk from the greyhound station to the convention center. That's all I can tell you

Gas Lamp area is party central. It is even going well during the week. Lots of stuff to do. I was only there 4-5 days but if I had to relocate anywhere in the US and money wasn't an issue it would be there.
Check out the zoo, especially if you're going with the hot chick. I know there's a lot of beach stuff but we didn't have time.

San Diego is great, even though it rained both times I went. Apparently I went the only times it rained in the past 5 years. I say definately check out: Gas Lamp District for Restaurants and Bars Old Town for Mexican Food La Jolla for fancy shopping and sea lion watching The Zoo, best I've seen. Mission Beach/Pacific Beach Don't bother with Sea World. I had free passes, which is the only reason we went. Oh and since I know you are a beer lover, check out the Yard House in downtown. 100 or so beers on tap and they have sizes up to a yard.

Yeah, I am curently in downtown San Diego right now and already found the Yard House (tomorrow I am going to Old Town for lunch). They told me at the Yard House that they now have 130 beers on tap-so thanks for telling me about that Tournament Master. They also have lots of hot chicks there- both tending the bar and sitting at the bar. So yeah, if you have 130 beers on tap (the local Red Trolley is particularly good) and hot chicks all over the place- then hell yeah Mr. Vegas will come into your bar.

There are a couple Roberto's around downtown San Diego and they are the best. Old Town is cool and Balboa Park is nice and has lots to offer. The coolest bar in town dude is Landlord Jim's. Check it out before you take off and if Mitch is bartending get your drinks from him and he'll take care of you... nothing watered down or expensive there.
You're going to see cute girls everywhere, but I'm sure you know that by now haha
edit: I cant type!

But unfortunatly I didn't get to see this post from a couple of days ago until this morning (I left San Diego really late yesterday and drove through the night to get back to Las Vegas because I wanted to avoid the really long construction delays on I-15). I should have asked for your advice earlier, but I will keep it in mind for the future because San Diego isn't that far from Las Vegas and I will definitely go back there again- perhaps even later this summer. And yes, I know there are hot chicks everywhere, but I think San Diego has even more than most places. I go to Los Angeles alot and think the chicks over there are cool too, but after this week I now think that the chicks in San Diego are nicer than the chicks in LA. Havoc, I know what you mean about running out of time. I was in San Diego for 72 hours (Monday night- Thursday night) and there are still things there I want to see and do. I also understand what you said about wanting to possibly live there. I am really settled and content here in Las Vegas, but if I ever had to leave then San Diego would definitely be high on my list too. But I guess I would have to change my screen name from Mr. Vegas to Mr. Diego or something.
