i have thought about this for 4 days now,but this is the only board that i will post at.somethings are best just as they are.i will not go on about how i came up with this.but lets just say,no one is above GOD,no one.to go and think one is is an sign of...im not going there.

OK..I found what Levertis is talking about I think.
The bootleg for God? I don't see what you're getting all worked up about. I doubt anybody involved in it's creation will be going to hell for making such a bootleg. And I doubt when it was created the creator felt he was above God. Have a sense of humor and lighten up a bit.
If anything I'd be upset because God wasn't stacked enough.
Plus..look at it like this..maybe there is no God. Hey..I'm just saying. I'm agnostic, so I guess I can say things like that.

We locked it, but I saw nothing to get so worked up about over a drawing of God. It's fine with me if you don't want to post there, but WTIC is on this board too... in fact he's a mod here. He intended nothing offensive with his bootleg and I think you're clearly overreacting.

I think that bootleg was based on God's portrayal in the movie "Bruce Almighty" and not actually on God himself. And I agree that we probably shouldn't start debating the existance of God. But, back on topic, I'll be happy to read your posts on this board anytime Levertis.  |

That's why race, religion and politics really should never be discussed in a public forum... ...because when someone is offended, like Levertis clearly was, people like Tafkaga feel it's ok to publicity claim him to be "clearly overreacting."... the audacity to judge one's "reaction" to something so personal such as religion is why it's just best to keep religion away from the public forums... peace. |

You gotta be careful about religion on public message boards...same with race and political topics... When I bartended, I was told to stay away from talking about sports, news, & religion... I am sure this was due to the fact that people can lose their minds and let their fists fly over these subjects, especially after some liquid courage. |

in the "adds by google" their is a Ww2 add. I'd find it a little strange if thats what it stands for; but, it's the best I can come up with. |

I don't think Levertis is overreacting at all, and to chastise him for it is completely rude.
Look, he is obviously a man with very strong beliefs and convictions and he obviously felt those beliefs had been violated. Like ALL OF US, he comes on these boards because it's a catharsis. We come here to escape from the real world, which all to often can be a negative place to be. In this case something happened on the boards that he was offended by and he made a stand. I commend him for standing up for his beliefs.
While I'm sure that, originally, there was no intention to offend anyone, it still happened. I'm sure there would be a mature, and right way to deal with the situation, but calling him out for "overreacting" would not be it.
Levertis, you are the man!

Am I chastising Levertis for not liking the bootleg? No. A mod at the Deuce was offended by it as well, but he handled it with maturity.
Overreacting was not getting offended by the bootleg. Overreacting was when he went berzerk in the thread, demanded that a mod delete his account, and then came over here to trash WTIC and the Deuce... all the while we were working over there to remedy the situation and accomodate his feelings.
BDS locked the thread. Todd came along later and deleted it with WTIC's blessing. All Levertis had to do is express his feelings to a mod or to WTIC and it would have been taken down. Despite the fact Levertis went about making "a stand" in the most dramatic way possible, we STILL tried to accomodate his feelings by removing the thread. There was just no need for any of this drama, which is why they call it overreacting. If I'm rude for saying so, then I'm rude. So be it.

By the way I'm still interested in what "WW 2" means or how it relates to this thread.
Other than that my participation in this thread is done. I just have to say to Levertis that I'm not sure what you think you're escaping by leaving the Deuce. WTIC Promoter, who made the God bootleg, is a mod here after all. And he, BDS, and Todd scrambled to try to fix the situation for you. A lot of places would say "F you" but these guys actually did try to fix it. You need to know that.
