I'd be more putting the blame on the executives who highlighted it.

Heard about this on the radio a couple weeks ago and about vomited.
Since I work for a company that records books on tape for blind and physically handicapped patrons of the Library of Congress, I just hope to whatever powers there are that we do not get this book to record. Unfortunately, I'm sure it will be a bestseller, if only for a week, which automatically puts it in the LOC system. And currently we're the LOC's biggest contractor. The odds are in our favor, if you want to look at it that way.
I certainly won't be reading it.

eh, nothing he does bother me...I'm a true believer in karma, and one day something really bad is going to happen to him...you just know it.
until that day, I just ignore any OJ talk for the most part...
if anyone should go to hell for this, it should be the people at FOX for even coming up with this idea.

I agree a lot with what Swarm just said, OJ will get what's coming to him. Sooner or later.
You know, I watch a lot of Court TV, and one thing that police often do when interrogating a suspect is to ask them "hypothetically," how they would have committed the crime. Apparently it appeals to the criminals mind because they get to talk about their crime without actually admitting to it.
A lot of criminals are very narcissistic and would kill for the chance to talk about their crime. (Sorry for the horrible pun). Usually, while speaking "hypothetically" they reveal information that only the killer would know and thats enough to charge them.
So I am amazed that this trick worked on OJ, because I don't see him being narcissistic at all. (which smiley face denotes "dripping with sarcasm"??)

I still wouldn't be surprised if one day they re-open the case and send him to jail...
I'm more willing to bet someone murders him on the streets, but that's just a feeling.

The fact that OJ will be making money off of the murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman is appalling to me.
While I believe in karma, it doesn't always work. If that were true, nobody would ever do anything bad (or close to nobody).
He's getting $ from not only this TV spot but from his book, too. Sick. Just sick.
To quote Dave Chappelle form the "Hater's Ball" sketch:
"I hope all the bad things in life happen to you, and no one else....but you."

I read an article about this earlier on one of the news sites. In it, they mention that in the interview there's a point where the interviewer mentions that at one point in OJ's book the line "I've never seen so much blood." is written, and he blows it off with some nonsense about how he imagines that two people getting killed would cover everyone nearby with blood.
The audacity of this man astounds me, and the network and publishers are just as bad. Shame on everyone involved.

I still wouldn't be surprised if one day they re-open the case and send him to jail... Don't believe they can do that. Double jeopardy and all. They'd have to pin some other murder on him for that, because they tried it as Goldman and Nicole together. Maybe if they'd been separate cases, there'd be a shot. I sure hope you're right about karma. Worked on Saddam and Hitler.

if anyone should go to hell for this, it should be the people at FOX for even coming up with this idea. Actually, I doubt FOX came up with the idea. It had to be OJ, his agent(s) or his publisher. Someone then lobbied with FOX for an interview- which they viewed as news-worthy. OJ probably isn't getting paid for the FOX interview since it's part of the PR for the book release. I'm sure he IS getting paid for the book itself.

I believe that what goes around comes around -- OJ is in some serious trouble. This is a very sad, sad man -- and anyone who is entertained by this is a sad, sad person.

This is just plain sick. Anybody that buys this thrash will hopefully rot in hell just like OJ.

I just don't understand that if someone is actually convicted, they can have appeal after appeal...but in honesty, if OJ confessed...he'd still be off scot free.

Double jeopardy is there to stop unjust or harassing prosecution by the state. One of the standard moves by cold war governemnts (for example) was to simply put anybody who spoke out against the government on trial repeatedly to ruintheir reputation. The American legal system is the only one in the world that makes it: "guilty until proven innocent" and puts the burden of prosecution on the state. Double-jeopardy is just another facet of this. As to the topic: OJ is terrible. We all know this. FOX is most definitely paying for this interview and many media outlets are already speculating on the amount. This is sweeps week, and this is nothing more than a ratings draw. I'm not watching. He makes my stomach churn. A LOT of other people will be watching and FOX is going to get a big rating out of this.
