I think the Changer is saying he thinks she's attractive, but doesn't find her stimulating otherwise. She seriously lacks basic communication skills.

I don't really know what knap meant by that part -- I was agreeing with his first sentence.

I can't believe you guys don't get it. She's a man!
a hot, sultry, sluty, sweet-smelling man. Didn't we go thru this already with Stevie Dreamer?
Then again, I've been wrong before.
Maybe she' s a shy librarian. and maybe that look on her face says, "No body uses the dewey decimal system anymore".

I can't believe you guys have wives that play. Man, I'm always afraid of my girlfriends finding out about COTG and thinking I'm a nerd. Because how exactly do you explain a futuristic wrestling card game to a woman and make it sound cool to her? Anyone?

I'd try lying -- tell her a celebrity that she likes plays it.

"Listen up woman! When I'm not out getting drunk with the crew, bustin heads and messin with the ladies, I'm at home rollin the dice. That's right biotch, I have pretend wrestling matches with aliens and monsters and guys from different planets. And when I'm not doing that, I'm doin your sister."
I might try this one.

Goodzilla is an under-rated gem of this board. He's comedy gold!

Because how exactly do you explain a futuristic wrestling card game to a woman and make it sound cool to her? Anyone? Totally agree with this one. Me, I'm always hiding my COTG stuff after I'm done playing with it, because I have been caught trying to stash it away after bringing the ladyguest home. Wrestling + rolling dice by yourself + pretending futuristic aliens are having wrestling matches by your dice rolls = Bad News. And I don't think many would be impressed if I told them that King Kong Bundy and Buff Bagwell played it either. Any other celebrities?

Really? How can you tell "she seriously lacks basic communication skills" from a picture. How can you tell if someone is being sarcastic or not? These are difficult questions!

And I don't think many would be impressed if I told them that King Kong Bundy and Buff Bagwell played it either. Any other celebrities? Alice Cooper. The old guestbook had several entries from people claiming to be celebrity players--the Deftones and John Cena among them. Go to archive.org and try to dig 'em up. Maybe instead of saying King Kong Bundy, say "one of the guys who was on Married...with Children." I usually don't try to hide the fact that I'm a wrestling geek for very long--I've found that denying any knowledge of the pro wres looks a lot worse if a chick suddenly finds a whole DVD case filled with discs labeled "'80s WWF Volume 7" and Dusty Rhodes box sets. That said, I tend to draw the line at dropping the, "I like to play card & dice wrestling games set in the future" bomb. Even when I dated a girl who was obsessed with comic books and ran RPG campaigns. Oh, yeah, the original question...fantastic body but I agree that the tattoos are excessive.

I just told my girlfriend that one of my hobbies is a collectible card game -- 3 years later she's still with me so I don't guess it matters. I prefer to just throw things like that out there and play up my nerdy side -- if you don't take it too seriously then she won't either, unless of course she's THAT superficial. If that's the case you don't want her anyway because you'd probably end up having to give up a lot of the things you enjoy just to protect your 'totally Arthur Fonzerelli'ish macho stud' reputation.

I learned too many horrible truths that night. Thank God I woke up in the morning and logged in only to realize that it was all just a terrible dream. A horrible, horrible dream.

This I have to agree with. I have been with my girlfriend almost 2 years and she knows I play. Doesnt bother her. She just gives me weird looks when I go WOW PULSAR JUST PINNED MASSACRE!!!!! (Which happened the other night)

I think the key is....do they watch wrestling or like SciFi, if yes to either she may like it, if yes to both, she'll probably love it. If no to both, just don't tell her.
