Lost, the series should count. Especially since that's why that doctor dude was on the plane in the first place.

Van Wilder. Road Trip.
And for the Chinese literature genre, I've got to throw in Tian Long Ba Bu, also known as "Heaven Dragon: The Eighth Episode" or "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" by Jin Yong. The young prince of Dali goes and pimps it off with young girls all over southern China only to find out that he can't marry any of them because his dad in fact fathered them years ago when he was fooling around outside of the palace. How about that for an unlucky break?

-Big Fish. -Huck Finn. -The Patriot. -April Morning. (Did anyone else watch this in their middle school history class?) -The Blue and the Gray. -Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade. -Big Daddy. -East of Eden -Eight Legged Freaks -Finding Nemo -Popeye (the movie in the 80s when Robin Williams finds out at the end that his Pappy was the Commodore all along - 2 points!!)
and even though this doesn't exactly fit the criteria, I'm going to say The Davinci Code for the struggle between Sophie and her grandfather throughout the whole novel.

I think you're a little off on the question.. I'm looking for things where the MAIN CONFLICT is between a father and son, I don't think that applies to alot of these...most of them the father and son live happily ever after in the end... I'll give you Popeye and Huck Finn... the others I need convincing.

I'll do one more, before BDS gets a trivia bot on line at SON OF THREAD!
This one has no bonuses, since there are LOTS of answers:
Question #3
Name a video game franchise that has been on 3 or more generations of systems. (By generations I mean tech level I.e NES -> SuperNES -> Nintendo 64-> Game Cube) The game and system for each will cover it.... and no sports games, thats just TOO easy

Don't worry, Son of THREAD's trivia bot will take a while, Wildfire. That's a big, big script. I'm actually going to look and see if someone's already done one to save me the hassle.
Super Mario Brothers (Has been on every Nintendo system ever) Metroid (Metroid - NES, Metroid Prime - GBA, Metroid Fusion or whatever it is - GameCube) Legend of Zelda (Has been on every Nintendo system ever) Final Fantasy (Final Fantasy - NES, Final Fantasy VII - PS2, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance GBA)

I'm assuming that wrestling games count as sports games, since they're basically released by season, so I'm not mentioning the lineage of the THQ and Yukes games.

Name a video game franchise that has been on 3 or more generations of systems. * Mega Man and its various spin-offs (MMX, MM Battle Network, etc.), on pretty much every system ever * Donkey Kong, originating on the Atari 2600 with the straight arcade port and hitting pretty much every Nintendo console since * Street Fighter, starting with II (and sequels) on the Genesis/SNES and then spreading like kudzu * Motal Kombat, ditto * Soul Edge/Calibur, starting on PS1 (Soul Edge), then Dreamcast (Soul Calibur), then the last gen of consoles (SC2, plus SC3 on PS2); not sure how Dreamcast fits in the "generations" scheme of things. * Star Fox: SNES -> N64 -> GCN (plus DS) * F-Zero: Same as Star Fox, plus a GBA outing * Resident Evil: all over the place * Mario Kart: see F-Zero (and assuming it counts differently than the main Mario titles) * Castlevania: NES, SNES, then everywhere * Gradius: I'm pretty sure this arcade franchise has been on tons of systems, but I'll go with NES, SNES, and PS2 just to be specific * R-Type: see Gradius * Star Wars: starting on the Atari 2600 with at least two games and just being ubiquitous since * Gauntlet: I've personally played this franchise on the NES, N64, and GCN, among others * Contra: NES, SNES, PS2 * Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: NES, SNES, and recent gen systems * X-Men, Batman, Superman, and pretty much every comic license ever, especially if they had movies. * Tetris: Has there been a system that hasn't had this since it was created? ... I could probably do this all day.

Resident Evil won't count though because it's only been on 2 tech levels (PS1/N64 and PS2/Gamecube)... I'll add Sonic the Hedgehog to that as well though.. And Doom (SNES N64 and XBOX)
