I'm a big Lions fan but have never been to a game at Ford Field (I apologize for that). I'm debating at getting a WM23 travel package now or just waiting until November to buy tickets when the "normal" tickets go on sale and using my military discount to get a hotel room for just Saturday night (the travel packages include a mandatory 3-night hotel stay).

So, my question is, how are the seats at Ford Field? Should I try for seats on the floor (which is basically what's included in the travel packages), or should I go for something in the lower section of the stands for the best view?

I think it's pointless to even go if I'm not going to be able to see what's happening in the ring, If I have to watch it on a big screen from the nosebleeds, then why even go at all?

Do NOT get seats on the floor! Unless you're within the first 4 rows or so you won't see a damned thing! Plus they are WAY more expensive! Get a seat in the lowest bowl and enjoy the show!

In the same vein as "you won't be able to see anything", there's also the Idiots With Signs factor to consider when making your seating selection.

Thanks dude. After some contemplating last night, I think the regular tickets are my best bet anyways.

Hey Bri,

I've only been to Ford Field once (when BG played in the Motor City Bowl a couple years ago) I was sitting about halfway up the lower bowl along the 20 yard line. They were great seats actually, and I kind of got the feeling there weren't a lot of bad seats in the house. Of course a football field is much bigger and more visible than a wrestling ring.

Man,I need to get up there for a Lions game this year.

I've been to Ford Field about 6 times so far. I agree, don't sit on the floor, and there really isn't a bad seat in the house (the "regular seating" anyway).

Lower Bowl would be the best IMO. And, they have totally sweet giant HD screens on both sides of the field that have the best picture of any stadium "big screen" I've ever seen!
