just curious....are there any family members who not only play COTG(in one form or another) but also post on the message boards... for starters if you've read all the posts in this board then you may know that the Wildman and myself are brothers, any others out there?

I know there are quite a few brother promoters out there including the famous Olsens(Chad +Cory) and the Ashbys(Mark+Bob)
And a few father/sons promoters as well like the Keens,Atkinsons and of course The Filsingers
Also Frank's(Troy) wife plays the game
Husband and wife promoters include Steven Blade and Laura Phoenix
I know there is more but this is all that comes to mind right now

Doesn't that drive you nuts about parents! I tell mine, and the in laws, just freaking play around with the computer! You won't hurt it..
My brother played with me years ago when I first got the game, but he moved out in 91, got married, probably doesn't even remember it.
Wife has played a match or two with me if she loses a bet, my little guy loves to "woll" the dice. Trying to get him into it now, but he's still young, only 3.

Oh yeah Trav...my mom can get around online better than I can, but my dad refuses to even learn. He's only 54 too, it's not like he's 85 or something.
I should also mention my wife will play my 2088 fed with me, but she wont play the 2119 fed because, and I quote "There's too many weird rules on the card to remember." Sigh...women.

LOL...well, when I "make" the wife play, I pretty much play. She does it to amuse me I guess..lol
My dad has learned one thing my mom doesn't know about though on the internet.....(when I clean up their computer, I see where he goes!)

My wife plays and has recently started her own women's only fed, which is good for me as I never have to worry about that division!

Both of my brothers played for a little while back in the mid 90s, but I don't think either of them play much anymore. I know my brother Ben doesn't since he's in Iraq at the moment.

When I was 'growing up', my two brothers (as well as a few friends of ours) played but I know that they don't play at all anymore because every once in awhile they'll start reminescing about the game... Although...my oldest two boys (cameron and Gregory) are knee deep into 2119 at the moment with a big PPV coming soon...

My son started playing over a year ago. We are playing the early years right now and are in 2078. He really gets into the game. He also won the legends tournament at Origins last year and he keeps asking when we are going back to see if he can do it again. I am thinking it is also time for his first Galacticon this year.

I think this is going to be a big year for second-generation COTG fans. I'm happy to see so many kids showing an interest in "dad's card and dice game".

When I first started, my father and brother played along with myself and a couple of friends; when those friendships parted, my stepsister joined the playgroup. To this day, I still find it much less entertaining to play the game solitare, which is why I almost never do any more.

My two oldest kids (four and five) love to watch me play. The baby (one) loves to try to tear up my cards. My five year old is a girl and will play against me, too. She always insists on taking a "girl," usually Latasha, and invariably beats whoever I take. She wanted to play one night, and it was about five minutes until her bedtime, so I wanted the game to go quickly. So, I took Endgame. She won in five moves. I'm pretty sure they're going to take up "Daddy's game" when they get a little bigger.

My daughter will roll the Women's matches with, most of the time when she is not busy doing her own things...6 year olds have so much they do!
Tight now it looks like my boys will be coming to G-Con, but neither of them are into the CotG...They were when they were younger but the X-Box and Gameboys have taken over their imaginations....Maybe since there will be some kids there their age they will pick it up again!

I was playing my aCe fed the other night when a friend called. I left everything out on the table, including the two wrestlers cards who were in the middle of a match and the dice. Apparently my phone call was taking too long, because my cat Zeke jumped up on the table and started rolling the dice. I guess he wanted to finish the match for me. So now I have a cat who plays Champions of the Galaxy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
