COTG History: I have known about COTG for a few years, spent most of those years of "knowing" by lurking on this forum. After years of unsatisfactory in e-wrestling, I started to realize I love to book and run my own fantasy wrestling promotions. I started using TNM7 but that didn't last long. Last December I ordered the GWF and enjoyed in somewhat. I loved the system Tom created but not the GWF. I have recently ordered LOW and believe I will love every minute of it. Basically, I'm a n00b to COTG... but I love the game system and the community! I'll be a LOW player for as long as I have the time!

Wrestling History: As an American kid, of course I knew about Hulkamania. When I was young Hulk, Sting, and the Ultimate Warrior won my heart. However, I never really watched wrestling until about 1997. I fell in love with WCW Nitro. It got bad toward the end, but I enjoyed the nWo years, Sting, Guerrero, Benoit, Malenko, and so many others. You actually got to see wrestling. I started watching the WWF due to Stone Cold. I never marked out for Goldberg but damn sure loved Stone Cold. DX won my heart. The Rock won my heart. Mankind won my heart. Then I stopped watching when there was more story than wrestling.
I know enjoy learning about past wrestling history and wrestlers. I love how their wrestling told the stories... not the boring stories that are on RAW today. I also enjoy learning about puroresu and lucha libre. I have a huge respect for small, southern promotions that don't follow the "extreme trend."
From age fifteen to like nineteen, wrestling was my life. I could tell you every move for every wrestler in WCW, ECW, WWF; I loved wrestling... I even thought about going to a wrestling school. However, I stopped watching wrestling when WWE bought out WCW and ECW.
Basically, LOW is a way I can relive the wrestling history I never got to be a part of.

Though while I'm catching up, I have up to Revolution 2098 and I'm thinking of starting a 2098 fed (though Thantos will have to be on vacation until I get a replacement, since I lost his most recent card!) Aside from that, I've had an idea for a women's fed that I've wanted to do for a long time. I only recently put two and two together to figure out that CotG and LoW would be perfect for it! So, as soon as I get some more ladies, I'll be running a women's fed comprised of official GWF/CPC/LoW ladies, player-created bootlegs, and my own bootleg sets I'm currently working on. Kurt Angle, Sara Del Rey, Cheerleader Melissa, the Glamour Girls (what an awesome set of LoW tag team cards that would make!), Ted Dibiase, Wendi Richter, Sherri Martel (duh), Candi Devine, Randy Savage, Curt Hennig, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelly, what used to be America's Most Wanted, Gail Kim, Larry Zbysko, Randy Orton, Beth Phoenix, Victoria, Nora Greenwald, Christian (Cage), Samoa Joe, Jack Evans, Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, the Rock, just to name a few. Oh, and I just can't help but like Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Nash is an X-Division pioneer, you know!  My Least favorite wrestlers are- John Cena, Triple H, Umaga, Goldberg, Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, Batista, The Undertaker, Big Daddy V, Great Khali. Any wrestler who gets crammed down my throat for months and months when it's clear they are not and will never be "over", simply have no talent when compared to a lot of other wrestlers, or get to do what they want just because they're the son-in-law. Any wrestler who has to have a "Superman" gimmick of being undefeatable - especially if it relates to one of the reasons above. |

Do you play CPC? Yes, but my name for it is the USWF. I had a second federation before the CPC was created, so I morphed that fed into the CPC.

My favorite COTG Wrestlers are-Brute and Massacre were fun. I've always liked Vyper for some reason. And probably Twin Blood and Manslaughter.
My least favorite COTG Wrestler is: Probably Paragon. He's just so boring.
I have been watching wrestling since-I watched Big Time wrestling in Michigan as a kid (10-12 years old or so). I started watching regularly again around 1987 or 88.
I watch- TNA always, RAW usually (but I record it and fast forward most of it), Smackdown once in a while, ECW rarely.
My Favorite feds are- WCW. But since WCW is gone, TNA.
My Favorite pro wrestlers are- now.. Sting, maybe. I still get a kick out of seeing the Steiners, though they are not what they used to be (but who is?). Kaz is okay. In the WWE . . . I guess Cena, and maybe Batista. It was Benoit at one time.
Actually, my favorite current wrestlers to watch are Velvet Sky, Micki James, and Layla, but it's not entirely about their wrestling ability.

Adopted a few days before Christmas this year, my kittens were named Grey Kitty
and Phoenix. As GWF fans will know Chaos, Janus, and Matador of M83 made up
the team of Third Force,with Janus and Matador tag teaming as Phoenix Project.
So with one cat already named Phoenix and one needing a new name, I rechristened
Grey Kitty as Chaos (which fits his personalty perfectly) and with out my girlfriend
knowing we now have 2 cats in the house named after GWF wrestlers.

LONGEST GWF FRIEND: Had like 3 back in the day, Some dude in Canada I sent ECW tapes too he was known for his wrestler Brian Cannon. Anyone know who I am talking about? If ya do and he is online would love to give him a holler. that would be me (brian hillhouse). was bored at worked one night and thought i would search "brian cannon GWF" and this site and thread popped up. i don't really do the GWF thing anymore but i still have all of the player cards, booklets, dice and everything. but i do play the occasional smackdown vs raw and brian cannon is always the first guys i create. he's been my little alter ego i guess you can say since i created him in 1991. |
