I happened to catch an episode of Lucha Libre this past weekend and "X-Pac" was in the main event. Was this an old episode, or is he part of their roster now? And also....how is he getting away with coming to the ring with the D-X theme as his entrance music?

He's been there for a while. He's a semi-regular part of the roster.
Konnan (who is the head booker of AAA) has brought in a couple of guys who worked in th US. AAA is actually in a bit of an upswing sine he took over.

I haven't seen him but the guys at the Death Valley Driver board are absolutely raving about him. Apparently he's pulled a Jeff Hardy and made a dramatic comeback as a worker.
As for using the DX theme, I'm guessing AAA is banking on the WWE just plain not paying attention to them.

Luchadors can get away with using any music for their theme song in Mexico. Mr. Aguila used to come out to DX's theme aswell while El Sagrada uses Kevin Thorn's music (although that's just generic music that's not licensed).

he's been around for a while but he is still so young that he has plenty of time to turn it around I think.
