I will go traveling to Tokyo once again on George Mayfield's tour group. I went with him back in 2001 and it was just phenomenal. Never thought it would happen once let alone twice. The dates are Jan. 2 - Jan. 9, 2008.
So far the only announced show we will definitely be at is the Jan. 4 New Japan Tokyo Dome show which is always a huge spectacle. That will be awesome to see.

have fun...if you get a chance see if there is a Sumo Tournament going on as that would also be a great to see...and you could even claim it is a "cultural" thing.

Nakamura is out for about six months though some are pegging his return for the 1/4 Dome show.
If you're there for that, Ty, it's going to be awesome.

Below is the card for the New Japan dome show on Jan. 4 I'll be at. I think someone told me that Fujinami was replacing Super Machine in the 10-man tag.
I will be having lunch with Hayabusa and a meet and greet with Manami Toyota. It's also likely we'll get to spend time with W*ING Kanemura. George Mayfield, the guy who put the trip together, will be listing some merchandise he has that people not going can buy to get signed by the above wrestlers for you. When I get that list or see where he has posted it I can add it here if anyone is interested.
1/4 Tokyo Dome (5 PM start) 1. Milano Collection A.T., Minoru, & Prince Devitt vs. Christian Cage, AJ Styles, & Petey Williams 2. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title match: Wataru Inoue vs. Christopher Daniels 3. Manabu Nakanishi vs. Abyss 4. Takashi Iizuka, Koji Kanemoto, Tiger Mask IV, & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Masato Tanaka, Tatsuhito Takaiwa, Yutaka Yoshie, & Katsushi Takemura 5. Makabe & Yano vs. Team 3D 6. Riki Choshu, Masa Chono, Super Strong Machine, Jushin Liger, & AKIRA vs. Gedoh, Jadoh, TARu, Shuji Kondo, & "brother" YASSHI 7. Great Muta vs. Hirooki Goto 8. IWGP Tag Titles match: Giant Bernard & Travis Tomko vs. The Steiner Brothers 9. IWGP 3rd belt title match: Yuji Nagata vs. Kurt Angle 10. IWGP Heavyweight Title match: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

I have returned from an incredible week in Japan. When I get rested up I'll have some pix and probably write something about all the experiences. In brief: went to four shows (NJ dome, AJ, NEO, K-Dojo). Had meetings with Hayabusa, Abdullah the Butcher, Manami Toyotoa. Bought plenty of merchandise.

Welcome back Ty
Great to hear you had a great trip
Can't wait to see the pics
Did you talk to Abdullah+Hayabusa about COTG?
Is Hayabusa still paralyzed?

I didn't say anything about the Legends game to anyone we met. Hayabusa is in a wheel chair. He does have those metal arm bracers/crutches but didn't use them when we were there. He only put his mask on when we did photos.

IT's too bad the NJ/TNA show was, for the most part, a big flaming turd. But I'm glad you had fun and got to meet Abdullah and Taiyo Kea, as well as got their autographs.

Best part of the dome show was actually being there to take it all in. The last two matches were pretty good, the rest were alright. Forgot I've got a signed t-shirt of Muta and one of Kensuki Sasaki.

Dome show was good but just seemed like it could have been better. Just being there is what made it fun though. A lot of the K-Dojo guys looked good in the ring.
