Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar 6/29/07tinyurl.com/2lv24eThis was from the newly formed Inoki Genome Federation in Japan. Brock still had possession of the IWGP Belt...keeping it after a money dispute with New Japan. Kurt came in under a working agreement between TNA and Antonio Inoki's new group. Reports are this did a little over 8,000...runs just over 10 minutes. LWPD (you can show your appreciation by VOTING LWPD IN THIS THREAD...it's the right thing to do)

Thing is TNA is reporting Angle as the new IWGP Champion. I'm sure New Japan is gonna have a fun time with this.

The IGF has got a lot of people queazy. Inoki has had a bad record of promoting new feds ever since he left New Japan. I think the idea now is for Angle to drop the belt to Yuji Nagata, the official IWGP champion. At least that's what all of the puro fans I know think. The thing is, if this happens then there is the possibility that Lesnar keeping the belt when he was stripped could have been a storyline all along. If not then it is certainly shaping up like one s Kurt and Yuji did tease a singles match against each other when they teamed up a few months ago.

I had forgotten how much bigger Brock was then Kurt...he really dwarfs him. BL can still throw a wicked overhead suplex...launching Angle half way across the ring at will. I'd like to have him focus exclusively on MMA...but a one shot pay day here and there may be what he's looking for.
LWPD (it isn't just the six sided ring...Kurt's skills have declined markedly)

Yeah, Kurt's prime is going to be unfortunately short it looks like.

Kurt is getting past his prime and Brock just plain doesn't put any effort forth. The match is ok but nothing like their matches a few years ago.
