Two possible outcomes as a result of this purchase:
1) Yukes and THQ want to release Smackdown vs Raw for all consoles, but Sony's exclusivity agreement may block the move. However, Yukes is contemplating an NJPW game made witht the exact same engine to be released on all systems.
2) Yukes is pushing for a U.S. deal to televise shows, and they want to initiate talks with the WWE to swap talent and put on mega-shows.

I don't see the WWE getting into a talent swap with New Japan. They have basically crapped on every Japanese wrestler they have come in contact with except Tajiri. WCW got sued for doing basically the same thing.

New Japan already deals with TNA but too bad money is power and Vince can by a whole lot of talent.

More likely than not, Yukes motivation was simply to acquire the license to develope New Japan games, and to also lease the license to other developers (Such as Spike, if there is ever to be a King of Colosseum III.)
The thought that many North American fans have, is that because Yukes developes the WWE Smackdown! games, that this is somehow going to open the way towards a working relation between New Japan and the WWE. It simply isn't going to happen.
WWE has showed absolutely no interest in working with another group. even as their Japanese business being currently stagnant. (They've failed to sell out most of the bigger venues they've ran in the last couple of years.)
The closest to a deal WWE has brokered is the recent one with K-1 allowing Akebono to work the Sumo match against Show at WM21. WWE also used Akebono in a managerial/wrestler role in their last tour of Japan, but it didn't draw much attention from the fans. (Although the press, who are very pro-WWE were all over it.)
As of right now, there has been no changes within New Japan regarding management. Riki Choshu is still the match maker for the company, and Simon Inoki is still the president. (For now. Many think Simon's on the way out, with one of the senior wrestlers in the company taking over as President.) As of November 30th, when the transaction becomes official, then we'll have a more broader landscape of the picture.
