Can someone tell me why Ultimo dropped the gimmick and decided to go with The Tiger or whatever he is calling himself now. I just don't get it.

Ultimo retired the Dragon gimmick in Japan when he thought he was done in the ring. Of course he pulled a Flair and came back but did not want to bring back the Dragon gimmick. He then got permission from the original Tiger Mask to use a tiger gimmick saying he is the true successor of the Tiger Mask not Tiger Mask 4.

I think the contract just ran out. He hadn't been on WWE tv for quite some time.
So is he feuding with Tiger Mask 4 then? That would seem to make sense but from what I have seen they look quite similar.
Does he wrestle any different now? New moves?

No he is not feuding with Tiger Mask 4 the original Tiger Mask just doesnt apporve of Tiger mask 4. Wow thats alot of Tigers! Whats even funnier is the original Tiger Mask has a couple of matches coming up in Mexico. Poor Ultimo he left his own promotion when the WWE offered him a JOB came back after they didnt use him the way he thought he was going to be used. After he came back the boys in the promotion he started all quit and started there own promotion called Dragongate leaving Ultimo out in the cold. He then had a retirement match saying he was not going to use the mask but then was given permission by the original TM to use his gimmick which he is going to use again anyway.

I havnt seen any of his matchs but everyone said its the same old Ultimo.

The weird thing is that I saw I think the final match that he had as Ultimo Dragon and he is facing Satoru Satayama (Tiger Mask 1), Koji Kanemoto (Tiger Mask 2?), and Tiger Mask 4. It is funny to me that the original Tiger Mask would tag with someone who is using his gimmick without his permission.
That would be like Ole, Gene and Arn teaming with CW Anderson when one of them did not approve of him using the Anderson name. Goofy.

Ultimo still uses Ultimo in the Mexican "sister" to his old Toryumon promotion...the whole Tiger thing was Ultimo's idea and Sayama is allowing it to happen, in fact they have teamed together at some small "indy" shows in Japan, as for Tiger Mask IV, not sure how Sayama feels about him, but Sayama is the one who trained TM IV and gave him the mask.
