That's now twice in the last 2 yrs that Tanahashi has lost the tag straps and immediately announced his break from his tag partner(last yr was Yutaka Yoshie) to pursue other team ups and singles glory, perhaps he'll finally defend the openweight U 30 title he regained from Nakamura earlier this yr..interesting Title, the only qualification is that you must be younger than 30 to compete for it. TNA sidenote, there have been rumbling about A.J. Styles appearing in NJPW soon!

Now that Tanahashi isn't IWGP Tag Team Champion anymore, I'm sure they'll use the U-30 Title to keep a spotlight on him.
As a new fan, I would have liked to have seen NakaTana stay together for a bit longer...but I'm very interested to see what Choshu has planned for both of these young stars, so its not that big a deal.

NJPW, 10/31/05 Takaoka Techno Dome 1,300 Fans - No Vacancy
1. Hiroshi Nagao beat Yujiro (9:04) with a chokeslam. 2. Hirooki Goto beat Starman (6:33) with a backdrop suplex. 3. Sangre Azteca beat Akiya Anzawa (5:47) with a reverse armbar. 4. Naofumi Yamamoto beat Masahito Kakihara (8:51) with a backdrop suplex. 5. Osamu Nishimura & Ryushi Yanagisawa beat Takashi Iizuka & Blue Wolf (14:14) when Yanagisawa used a right kick on Iizuka. 6. Koji Kanemoto, Tiger Mask & Ryusuke Taguchi beat Jushin Thunder Liger, Black Tiger & Minoru (12:33) when Taguchi used the Dodon on Minoru. 7. Scott Norton, Matt Morgan & Mark Jindrak beat Yutaka Yoshie, Shinsuke Nakamura & Hiroshi Tanahashi (15:42) when Norton used a lariat on Yoshie.
*NOTES: New IWGP Tag Team Champions Chono and Tenzan got a taste of what it'll be like for them under the 'iron fist' of Choshu, as they were booked in a very tough non-title match against Nagata/Nakanishi and were beaten. The 'Foreign Legion' of Norton, Morgan and Jindrak fought in the Main Event and defeated former Tag Champs Nakamura and Tanahashi with Yutaka Yoshi the one who was pinned. Scott Norton, who looked to be in rough shape at the last show, and was beaten in under a minute, was reported to have been fighting a serious respitory infection as well as a bad leg. He is still not even close to 100%...but showed his true spirit by getting the victory.
The 'Juniors' had a great 6 man tag match that saw Tiger Mask and Black Tiger once again face off. Also, CMLL import Sangre Azteca got his first win of the tour after pulling a 'Jindrak' up to now.

Going back to earlier last week (I've been away for a while), isn't it funny that Jindrak, the million dollar body with ten cents worth of wrestling ability, got his first NJPW singles win over Nishimura? Is this supposed to be for the "smart" fans to believe Choshu had Nishimura do the job to the lesser skilled Jindrak to send a message? Or, being that it's Choshu, he may have actually really done it to send Nishimura a message. Either way, Jindrak shouldn't be beating much of anyone and it's a clear indication to me that the company is in dire trouble that they're actually using him.

Small tidbit...looks like Tyson Tomko will make his debut in New Japan in a tag team with Giant Bernard (Albert) to crown new IWGP Tag Team Champions should current Champions Chono/Tenzan be unable to defend due to Chono's injury. I thought Tomko would be a good fit for Japan, and hopefully he picks up a thing or two over there. It didn't hurt Jamal or Charlie Haas...
