IWe live in the USA, the richest country in the world, yet we have THEE highest poverty rate of any country in the free world. Do you see the problem here?! The rich get richer and poor get poorer. It's the American way. . I would love to see proof of that DMK, besides getting it from a Left wing organization Well, the 2007 Gini Index for the United States *is* about ten points higher than just about any other first world country by about ten points (at about the same level as China, and only dwarfed by Brazil*), and that's coming from the CIA website, so he does have that there... *By the way, I'm not implying that China or Brazil are first world countries, and from this figure, have difficulty grasping the fact that Brazil is leading the group of undeveloped countries in the current Doha Round of the WTO. I'm all for using trade to help alleviate global poverty, but I don't care much for making the wrong people richer... |
