Cleary, enough people don't know about this site, which is basically Mythbusters (a show I love dearly) for the internet. I think I've finally educated most of my family to check here before forwarding crap to me, but I figure spreading the word couldn't hurt. www.snopes.com |

That and any virus protection website like McAfee or Norton to check for hoaxes about things that allegedly make your computer go buggy. I'm all about the checking-before-forwarding. Wish some of my wife's friends were, too!

Snopes actually has an entire section devoted to Virus hoaxes, but I agree that Norton/McAfee/whatever's site is probably a good place to check too. |
