Which Fritz boy was lack of a better term, the total package?
IMO, David was the man of the clan.

I had to choose Kerry. I just didn't get David.
...and are you being generous with 5-6 for Chris!?!? ;D

I don't understand why Kerry would be winning, is it just because he was the most visible to the casual fan? David was a technical machine with size and ability, he just wasn't a muscle-head like The Texas Tornado. Kevin was also my favorite but I hated the fact he wrestled barefoot.

I don't understand why Kerry would be winning, is it just because he was the most visible to the casual fan? Pretty much. By the time I got into wrestling (87), David was gone and Kevin barely wrestled anymore, so the only one I really got to see a lot of was Kerry.

Kevin.
Always thought he was the best.
None of them were good on the mic.
Loved watching the WCCW Classics on ESPN in the 80s.

I went with Kevin as i thought he was the most versatile of the bunch...could do just about anything he wanted in and out of the ring.
I don't know why i don't remember seeing much of any of them other than Kerry and Kevin.
WCCW was great...The Heels there were some of the best of all time...second only to the Four Horseman (Flair, Arn & Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard.)

went with David because of his size and he did play a credible heel in Florida.

In terms of being an 'all around' talent in the pro wres industry...Fritz had all of his sons beat. He could very effectively play either face or heel, drew respectable box office throughout the US, recurring overseas tours, had the wherewithal to built his own thriving promotions...TWICE, was a strong money promo man (which none of his sons were) and had a far greater record of longevity...which when taken in context...left behind a legacy matched by very few. As for the kids, Kerry had the greatest degree of unrealized potential. Even as early as early '83 Kerry's good looks, natural charisma and star quality presence had a young VKM interested in bringing him in. He was a fairly good in ring talent and was highly sought after for work outside of his home base. More than any of his brothers he was best suited to thrive in the telegenic 80's cable boom period. In context...back when David, Kerry and Kevin were all alive...DVE was more highly regarded by other promoters (Eddie Graham, Sam Mushnick, Paul Bosch) and was able to carry himself as an individual talent outside of World Class. Kerry and Kevin were less developed but both had a better look and more upside. When David died Fritz was still able to keep business going with Kevin and Kerry carrying the load (with the Dynamic Duo program). When Kerry went down due to the motorcycle accident...Kevin headlining alone was a flop. When Kerry returned he couldn't revitalize things back to WCCW's peak. When Kerry went to the WWF...he was pushed fairly hard but his personal problems and ankle handicap were too much for him to overcome. Drugs stunted Kerry's potential (which was considerable) and Kevin never wanted anything beyond staying local with-in the bounds of the family business. Mike and Chris were fillers that probably would have been much better off if they had never stepped into a ring. Here are some recommended viewings of possible interest...featuring each Von Erich brother in a high profile singles match...and finally a match where all three team together as a unit:David Von Erich vs Jimmy Garvin 6/17/83Harley Race vs Kevin Von Erich 6/17/83 Jumbo Tsuruta vs Kerry Von Erich 5/22/84 Fabulous Freebirds vs Von Erichs 8/12/83
