seriously: It's the great evil boss character, Mr. McMahon. After Hogan, Flair, Austin, and the Rock. That's the greatest character of all time. Or at least of my lifetime.

Memory? I'm not sure...I grew up on his announcing...that's actually how I'll probably remember him most.
However, I think Vince's defining legacy is the fact that he pulled the territories together into one company, 'nationalized' wrestling, and essentially created sports entertainment. WrestleMania (and the use of PPV, in general) is essentially the most famous and recognized extension of that legacy.
