I'd love to see Burke get the strap, but I think conventional wisdom leans towards the big name of the group, Benoit.
And I love Benoit too, so that'd be fine by me as well....a Burke-Benoit feud could be something special.

Benoit seems to be the obvious choice. The others all seem like if they were to stay in ECW they would end up with the title at some point though. Burke and Punk are still up and comers who are very impressive but still probably aren't quite to the level of being able to carry a fed. Benoit can to an extent as long as he has the right people to face. Punk and Burke and probably Cor Von and others will do quite nicely to fill that role.

I just thought maybe they'd put it on Burke because Benoit is much more interesting when he's chasing down the gold then when he's wearing it.
